Seen as the last chapter is a load of crap I'm uploading again. And, oh yah, I'm updating only because I would like to have a completed, full-length story uploaded. No matter how much editing it needs.

The slower and less frequent the updates got, the more fans I lost. Sorry. I left you with an uncompleted story.

But, still, thanks for all the support.

I also stopped naming the chapters.

"Come on, Jakey. Quick, it's freezing."

I hold the front door open for my son as he trails behind me towards the house. Shivering, I am rather thankful when he finally reaches the door. Lennox follows without complaint behind Jake. I close the door behind Lennox and am immediately encased with the warmth of the home heating. I guess my mother is home.

I take Jake's coat off of him and he quickly runs off towards the sitting room, ready to take charge of the TV, no matter who's watching. I look over my shoulder when I hear a bark of laughter. Lennox is looking off towards the direction Jake just ran in, a small smile gracing his lips. I stare at him a couple of moments until he finally looks my way. I blush slightly, annoyed at myself that I got caught looking at him. He doesn't seem to mind, staring back at me with as much intensity.

Our silent stare-off is interrupted all too soon when I hear the voice of my mother, loud and boisterous. "Oh look what the cat dragged in."

Am I the cat? I better not be.

"Corinne, how lovely to see you," Lennox replies, embracing my mother once she reaches him. My eyebrows subconsciously raise at this. My mother's always been so fond of Lennox. I swear she'd marry him if she could. Oh god, that sounds horrible. My boyfriend- I mean, ex-boyfriend and my mother. That would be especially weird seen as Lennox and I share a son and then I'm my mother's daughter... I shudder. That is disgusting.

"Savannah?" I look up, not realising I had been spoken to.

"Hmm?"

"Are you coming into the kitchen with us? I was just telling Lennox here how he has yet to meet Dan."

I shoot my mother a smile we all know is fake and follow them into the kitchen. Great, Dan's home. I wonder what Lennox will think of him because, I'm not going to lie, but he's an asshole. Total dick. All he cares about is his money and his company. My mother is so blinded by this fake affection that he has for her that she doesn't even notice that she's practically his drug mule. I swear, if he asked he to do a 'We're the Millers' act and go down to Mexico to collect a tonne of drugs, she would go collect them. And, what's worse is that she'd probably try and recruit Jake and I too to make us look more like a family. If we got caught and she got sent to jail, she'd probably even still forgive Dan then. My mother is head over heels for the man.

"Dan, honey. This is Savannah's boyfriend, Lennox," my mother introduces.

"Mom-" I cut in. "Lennox is not my boyfriend."

She shrugs her shoulders. "Fine. Dan this is Jake's father, Lennox." She gestures to Lennox. "Happy now, Savannah?" She adds, not even bothering to look at him.

I roll my eyes and look across the room towards Dan who sits on a chair at the table, his open laptop set in front of him. And, from the looks of it, he doesn't want to be disturbed. He glances over the top of the macbook screen- only the best for Dan- before training his gaze back to the screen, holding one finger up as if to say 'hold on'.

I roll my eyes again at his dismissive behaviour before heading over to the kettle to make myself some tea. "Lennox, tea?" I call over the counter, heading to the sink to fill the kettle. He sits down on a stool in front of the bar, shaking his head. I turn the tap on and fill the kettle.
