The heat of the sun cutting through the window of my bedroom landed on my face. The loud snores coming from Angelina's parted pink lips bounced off from the walls, her face close to mine, a glistening line coming from the corner of her lips. Her leg and arm were hovering my body, holding onto me as if I was a teddy bear. Same old Angelina, I had forgotten she slept over, we had stayed up late and she decided to sleepover.
I carefully removed her limbs off of me to go to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After taking a shower, I quickly dry my hair and exited out of the bathroom to go to my drawer, grabbing a loose white t-shirt and black ripped jeans pants and went to my closet to grab a gray oversized sweater. After changing, I sneakily walked over to the occupied bed, I jumped on the bed and laid on my cousin.
"Rise and shine!"
"Ugh! I graduated last year! I don't need to get up early in the mornings anymore!" whined Angelina, covering her head with a pillow.
"Okay! But I'm making pancakes!" I sang as I get off of her, walking out of my room.
"I'm up!" I hear Angelina screamed from my bedroom.
Laughing, I make my way down the staircase with Sherry following by my feet ever since I woke up. Thankfully she didn't go in the bathroom with me. Walking into the kitchen, I took out the food the chef makes for Sherry. She comes in twice a week, leaving various options for me to choose for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. I settle down the bowl for Sherry before walking over the island table, noticing a white folded paper by the displayed flowers.
"Dear Cassidy,
Your father and I have gone on a business trip. We won't be back for five months. Take care of the house with the housekeeper while we're gone.
Yours sincerely,
Mother"
I crumbled the piece of paper and threw it in the garbage bin before I gathered the ingredients to make pancakes. After finishing the pancakes, I quickly ate with Angelina before leaving to go to school. Angelina decided to wait for me until I get out of school so we could hang somewhere else today.
Waling down the sidewalk, leading the path to turn and go up the staircase, I put on my hoodie. I don't want to deal with anyone today. I walked up the steps as I hear the wannabe bitches calling me a slut or others calling me "Caggie" or "Reject Girl". Soon the name-calling started to get louder, they were following me. The minute I felt a hand pulling me back, I turned around and pushed the body. The petite girl fell down, I swore she pretended to fake cry which caused everyone to get mad.
Two boys came up to me quick, not giving the time process that they covered my mouth, lifted me and carried me. With the familiar corridors and banners, I knew where they were taking me. To the gym. The doors opened wide and the two boys still carried until we were by the center of the gym, throwing me to the ground. I slid on the floor by the force and my things fell on the floor. They laughed, already making the plans on what to do with me.
I needed to leave, there was no security guards or adults around, who knows what they could do to me. I grabbed my bag and crawled quietly before a girl screamed out she's leaving!, without hesitating, I dashed. I ran to the other side of the gym, to the other exit. The doors opened to a new hallway, students looked startled when I opened the doors. Before I could run any further, I was pulled back into the gym, the doors closed.
These were the boys from the football team, the more muscled boys amongst other boys who were athletic. The girls were from the Cheerleading team or on the volleyball team. They did nothing but snicker or kick me when the boys were taking a break.
"Can you believe it, Caggie? It's Thankful Day!"
How could I forget? September 21st is a day Calum had made just for me. He claims its a day to be thankful that no one could become or turn out like me, the Reject Girl. On this day, people feel like they could do whatever they want for me. Calum used to be on top with his made-up national day, but in freshmen year, he doesn't bother this day. Only his little followers.
I yelled in pain as my back hit the bleachers. The same petite girl grabbed a lock of my hair and punched me in the eye. She releases my hair causing my head to the floor. I felt two feet kicking me in the stomach. I finally opened my eyes and in self-defense, I punched one of the nearest girls in the nose who was in front of me. She looked deadly at me, she was bound to attack me but she was pulled back. Suddenly, a guy with blonde hair and hazel eyes bent down to my eye level before his hands wrapped my neck, closing in mt lungs, I gasped for air desperately.
I felt more stares on me, people were gathering, wondering what was happening until they noticed that I was on the floor. Some of them wanted to help and some didn't. Even the teachers and principal are scared to even stop them and I couldn't blame them, I was the Reject Girl. Who would want to help the bullied girl, who was beaten up on a daily basis, who has no friends, who was an outcast to everyone, even to the ones who are already outcast, I was the lone wolf.
Before I could black out, suddenly, I was released. My back fell to the ground and I breathed for air. I looked up to see a familiar black hair coming towards me. From behind him, there was a boy with a dyed blonde head and a blondie but with blue eyes were either pushing or punching the other football team. I felt so weak to push the ebony boy away from me but he automatically swept his arms underneath me and carried me into a bridal style. He yelled at his friends to follow him before running out of the gym then to the front entrance of the school.
They ran to a car, the backside door was opened and the ebony boy carried me in the car, placing me in the middle. My eyes moved from the top of the car to the review mirror. Green eyes were already looking up, probably to look at the ebony boy or to look from behind him as he reverses to exit out of the school parking lot.
My head was pounding and the sounds were echoing, the ebony boy was calling out to me, telling me to tell him my home address. I mumbled my addresses before I knocked out.
