Yeong was all good and ready to work again. She worked at a cafe, actually around the corner where Jin and Namjoon used to met.
When Namjoon was done with his shift, he almost ran this way home. He packed his most important things into a bag and off he go, to Jin's apartment.
"Hey! Don't you wanna stay over for some tea?" Jin asks.
"Aww, sweet of you. I would if I could, but unfortunately my wife's shift ends soon. So I gotta run back to our apartment."
Jin smiled and waved goodbye. When Namjoon closed the door behind him, Jin's smile dropped. He bit his lip, he didn't like to hear him saying his "wife". In Jin's head, it was only them.
After 4 days, the move was successful. Not much that belonged Namjoon was left in their sharing apartment.
He looked around, stroking every drawer with his gentle fingers, let the wall touch him, one last time.He lived there for three years. Yes, he was the owner of the apartment. But he rather move in and move on.
"Honey! I'm home!"
Not that Namjoon had his script ready, but it was about time. He couldn't let Jin wait anymore. He got it together, took his bag and went to the hall to met her.
"Hey Yeong... Let's meet in the kitchen shall we? Take off your clothes first."
"Oh... Baby wants it?"
"That's not what I meant!" I yelled from the kitchen. He tried his best to show he was not interested. Tried to show it was over but Namjoon wasn't a man of acting.
He made tea for them both. Yeong already made herself comfortable in the couch. When Namjoon came in with the tea, she was expecting a kiss but he managed to dodge and put down the tea cups.
"So... Did you have a good day at work?"
"Yeah, it's great to be back."
"That's good. Are you allowed to have your wedding ring at work?"
"Of course! It's just when I'm baking I need to take it off. But I rather stay away from those kind of tasks."
"I understand. But you see... I took of mine this morning."
"Why?"
"Because... I don't think this is working between us."
"What are you saying? Did I do something wrong?"
"It's not you darling, trust me."
"I did! I thought you'd hold your promise to love me until death tore us apart. Was that a lie?"
"I'm so sorry to tell you this but I love someone else."
"And those 2 years? Did they not mean anything to you?"
"Darling... I got to tell you the truth. I did not feel anything at all. I just did what my grandparents were telling me." He took a sip of his tea. It was hot, just as the situation was. The stinging felling the hot tea left on his tongue reminded him of the situation he was in. "You see, ever since my parents died from that accident, I've been so weak. Such a coward. I just obeyed orders and didn't dare to say no."
"I don't believe you."
"You don't? Well, too badly. Cause I already got the papers ready. You just need to agree."
"I don't want to! I want to know why you're leaving! And why you lied!"
"Listen, unfortunately, you're not the one for me. And you need to find another man, that's better than me. You need to find someone who's willing to love you, someone who loves you, truly. Not a weak liar like me."
"Just get out of here!" She stood up pointing to the door, she bit her lip but it didn't stop her from letting her tears escaping her eyes.
"I assumed you were going to say that. So I'm out. But I just want to let you know that we are over, so please make it official, sign it."
She took the pen and signed it. She threw the paper away so Namjoon had to pick it up on the floor. He got everything and closed the door. Leaving his keys on the mat.
---
Within a few minutes of walking, Namjoon was outside Jin's apartment. He gently knocked and waited for Jin.
"Welcome! You did it?"
Namjoon nodded and stepped in.
"Finally." He went in for a kiss. Namjoon was so surprised he dropped his bag. He didn't resist, he just go with the flow and enjoyed the kiss.
The first night Namjoon couldn't sleep. He was worried but also happy. Jin knew he was awake, but didn't dare to talk to him. Because he was also worried. What was going to happen?
---
After two months living together and sharing the same bed. Namjoon was cured. Jin could see he was happy. Namjoon was more open then before, Jin could tell that he succeeded and earned his trust.
So Jin took the map. Checked everything. He was proud that he could write his signature that he was free from his as his patient.
Though he never was, he was just a friend, until now."Give me a nickname." Namjoon said.
"What?" Jin put away the map.
"In order to move on, I need a new nickname that you can call me."
"I got one."
"What is it?"
Namjoon's excitement made Jin giggle. He was like a puppy.
"Mine."
