It was the week of Christmas. Stockings were up, trees were decorated and the cashiers were more busier then ever.
And there was Namjoon in Jin's apartment writing, not caring too much about his surroundings. Now what kind of impression was he going to give to Jin's parents? Of course, his parents were also very strict and wanted to make sure that Jin choose the perfect person.
Jin let out a sigh and continued to pack all the presents.
"Baby, get ready. We're going in 10 minutes."
"I'm in the middle of something really good."
"I'll get to the car then. Please finish it."
Jin was waiting in the car, but neither did he come. What was 5 minutes felt forever, what took so long? Jin felt stress as his parents wanted him to come right at 6. They hated him being late, for anything.
He unlocked his phone and pushed as hard as he could on Namjoon's name. Pressed his phone to his ear to clearly hear the tone, waiting impatiently for him to pick up.
"What is it?"
"Namjoon! We're getting late! For real! Get down here!"
"You don't need to yell... I'm saving everything."
"Seems like I had to yell this time casual it literally takes you 20 minutes to finish your work."
Yes, Jin was a little bit annoyed. But it made Namjoon a bit sad, he never raised his voice, he was always such a calm person. It was scary but also heartbreaking. He knew that he somehow was right, but did he really had to tell him that way?
Did he tell him to stop doing what he was loving? The depression thoughts were coming back, so was fear and nervousness.Namjoon shut down his computer and walked to the hallway, putting on his clothes and getting ready. He sighed for himself, he then saw himself in the mirror, shrugging his shoulders and talked to himself. But he couldn't stay for much longer, he had to go. Every second counted, every minute, he could feel Jin's patience was like a fire work line, burning up and for every step he took, it was close to explode. Luckily, Jin didn't say much when he to into the car.
"Did you lock?" Jin asked. Still a bit annoyed. Namjoon didn't dare to speak, so he gently gave him a nod. "Why are you so quiet?"
You should know that... Namjoon thought to himself and looked outisde the window, leaning his head on the window. But he didn't want an annoying silence to ruin their mood for meeting his parents.
"How are your parents? What kind of persons are they?" Namjoon spoke up. His voice was a bit shaky, probably because he was nervous.
"They're pretty... Calm but sensitive in general. As long as you don't talk football or politics."
Namjoon remained quiet as he didn't have anymore questions to ask. But he still felt nervous, he has been isolated from the world and barely knew any people, and to get to know more people, scared him. What was they gonna think of him?
"You don't need to be scared of them." Jin said. It was as if he read Namjoon's mind, he was surprised but relived that he understood and was there. "Do your best, be yourself and you'll be alright."
