Taehyung was speechless, he opened his month to say something but closed it, then turned around. "You'll know how later." He said, closing the door behind him.
---
Two weeks passed, and it was decided. She was going to the first hospital.
I can't believe I almost killed her... By loving. Jin thought as two bird flew by his window. If I only could fly away from my problems...
"Jin?" Mrs Jung knocked.
"What is it?"
"I got bad news. Mrs Lee Yeong is going to... I can't pronounce it, but the thing is, I did what I could but I couldn't get her a lift to the hospital. And she's going tomorrow."
"Tomorrow I'm not even here. I'm free."
"Taehyung doesn't have his license yet, Hoseok is still a newbie and can't even find the fridge in this place, the boss is busy and I can't take her."
"Are you saying that I should drive her? It takes 2-3 hours to get there!"
"Besides, I can't handle the talk. They'll be asking questions about her, be prepared for that."
"I can't believe this..."
"I'm sorry Jin..."
When the door closed, Jin rapidly fished for his phone in his pocket. Texted as fast as he could to Namjoon telling him he was going to be late. No reply, Jin sighed, hoping Namjoon will be fine for a night or two.
---
It was 10 PM and the last patient had left. But of course, there was a lot of paperwork to do. He let out a sigh and began to write down everything.
Without releasing it, the clock had already passed midnight, Jin couldn't see his pen, it was blurry and he felt dizziness creeping it, even though he tried to resist it, he couldn't and feel asleep on his desk.
While Taehyung was turning off the lights in the facilities, he noticed that Jin was still in his office. He walked back to get a blanket from the waiting room, to wrap it around Jin. He looked at him one last time before turning off the lights. "Have hope. Pain ends." He whispered.
The next morning Jin had a ache, he slept very peacefully but everything hurt. "I wished I just gone home..." He mumbled and checked his watch. He cursed for himself for sleeping on his desk. Such a stupid idea...
The list of Jin's patients were gone, then it suddenly hit him. He was going to spend his whole day driving Yeong to the hospital and back. As his drowning thoughts was taking over and making him bitter, he could smell the scent of coffee, only coming closer and closer. "Good morning." It was Hoseok who smiled brightly with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"So how you doing?" He put down the coffee on Jin's desk, sat down and smiled. "Your neck must hurt right?"
"I regret everything I did last night, it could've wait..."
"Well I came her to discuss something with you."
"Hmm? How come? Well then... What's on your mind?"
"When you leave Yeong, then you leave the case too."
"Excuse me? Are you giving me orders?"
"The tables have turned. I'm just kidding, the boss told me to tell you."
"Why couldn't he tell me by himself?" Hoseok went speechless, he didn't know either. "Oh you made it up just so you could boss around? And I'm your first target? How nice of you."
"Jin... I never lie, and you can even tell if I'm lying or not. You're a psychologist, you should notice when someone's lying."
"I have to work to do, but thanks for the coffee."
---
It was time, to leave her. All the way from Seoul to Daegu. The hospital seemed pretty fresh, but inside was scary. "Yeong we're here." Jin said. No reaction was given, was she asleep? Jin could tell that's she wasn't; she just didn't want to listen. It even surprised him that she's been quiet all the way to Daegu, not that she was a chatty person, but she didn't resist or anything.
Jin sighed and got out of the car. "I guess this it. The end of us." He whispered and looked up at the dark sky.
"Welcome! You're Mr Kim Seokjin right?" A tall man approached him. His scary smile creeped of Jin, but he just went with the flow. "So what's her name?" He asked.
"Lee Yeong."
"Problem?"
"Extreme bipolar, depressed and suicidal."
"Is there something we should know before we let her in?"
Jin went silent... Of course there was a lot to know, but what was the most important thing? "No, nothing special. I'm not involved."
And by that, they took her in. Yeong looked into Jin's eyes in betrayal. She was screaming and wanted to go back, it was a horrible sight but Jin had to go back.
---
After a long day, Jin was finally home. The sky was full of dark clouds and there was no stars in the sky, but the moon was yet visible.
"Where have you been?"
The apartment was dark, wasn't Namjoon sleeping? "Where are you?" Jin asked, wandering around lost in the darkness.
Suddenly, he could feel arms wrapping around him, a warm hug, the scent. "I missed you."
"I almost thought I'v also gone crazy..."
"What are you talking about?"
"It's nothing. Let's go to sleep."
Namjoon felt sadness inside, he forgot about their special day. Valentine's Day...
