Hello,
Yay for actually getting off YouTube for long enough to write something for a site again! First time posting on Wattpad so I hope I don't screw it up. I have no idea how any of this formatting works so bare with me peeps! I also have no idea where any of this is going. That's reassuring...
Enjoy! -E
p.s. I understand nothing about copyright so here: I own the plot 'cause it came from my brain. I do not own Christian Novelli. If I did I would hold his hand and take him everywhere so I could have another friend. Plagiarism isn't cool peeps, so don't steal my work. Thanks! :)

Using the key he'd given me, I opened the front door of the apartment in a tall building in Seattle, Washington.
"Hello," I called into the near silent house. I knew he was home. My awkward little friend was always home. We both thoughts titles like "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" were too....overused, and certainly not an appropriate (or cute) name to call each other.
I kicked off my shoes and looked into the shoe compartments under the coat hooks. A pair of TOMS sat neatly in the first box. The second was missing it's sophisticated, black pumps; indicating that Christian's mother wasn't home. Not that she usually was. Leaving early and working late, always in a rush. She has used the excuse that she has to support her 22 year old son who still lives at home. Such crap. He never asks for anything from her except for toaster waffles in the freezer.
I pulled on my fuzzy socks that I'd left on the floor yesterday morning when I was running late for school. The public bus stops are so close to my building, the school and Christian's building that his apartment has become more of a home than my own.
Christian's bedroom door was open just a crack. I pushed it open and peeked into the messy room. "Hey," I said, spotting Christian in the corner by his desk and the window. He sat hunched in front of his camera, but he jumped when he heard my voice. I closed the door and crossed the room, stepping over the mound of blankets on the floor in front of an old TV.
"No! Ahhh!" Christian fake cried, covering his face with the sleeves of his oversized sweater. "Don't look! My face is awful today!" I sat down, cracking a smile at his awkwardness. I grabbed his thin wrists and tried to pull his hands from his face. "No Rosie! I look terrible! Even the camera says so! Just ask him, he will tell you. He's a very honest camera you know. Too honest if you ask me."
"I'm not going to ask the camera, silly! He is a jerk anyway. You can never look terrible." Christian giggled a little but kept fighting. I let go of one of his arms to tuck my long, blonde hair behind my ear. Thank goodness for Christian being so itty-bitty, the fight was more a struggle for him than me. He was only a little taller and nearly as thin. I could blame all the meals I skipped as a teen for that. I could also blame my skin and bones for the December cold that cut right through me, causing me to turn into a Human Popsicle.
I finally got his hands free, looking over his face. His sad blue eyes didn't meet mine, his flawless pale skin almost glowed in the surprisingly bright afternoon light coming from the window. He mouth moved, trying to wrap his lips around enough words to form a sentence.
"There," I smiled. "That's better. You're beautiful!" I said sweetly. I tried everyday to get Christian to love himself for once. If that failed, prying a smile out of him was enough to make my day.
Christian looked down at his wringing hands in his lap, his cheeks turning pink. "Not as beautiful as you though. Like, you're more beautiful than hand painted mugs. Mom has some of those and those are always my favorites. Just, wow."
I grinned and pecked his cheek, making his blush even more red. We'd been together for nearly 7 months now, and still he got flustered and blushed when I kissed him. Even when we were both so lost in the kiss. Some people would get fed up with the blushing and shy hand holding and would want the relationship to go further. Not us though. Our relationship was built off those little things.
"Speaking of mugs..." Christian stood up, taking my hand and pulling me from the room to the kitchen.
"How about tea? It's 4 o'clock. We'll never be able to sleep tonight if we drink coffee!"
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Tea it is." Christian went to turn on the stove and fill the kettle while I went sat at the island.
"Hi, Hudson." I said to the little, blue, beta fish who was swimming in furious circles around his bowl. "Christian, is Hudson okay? He seems distressed." I frowned at the little fish.
"He doesn't like the penguin. Very bad vibes between them." I picked up the fish bowl and moved it to the kitchen table by the windows. "How was school?" Christian asked, standing on his toes to knock the box of peppermint tea from the high shelf in the cupboard.
"Fine. Got an A on my creative writing piece in English. And Mr. Bush had me test all the motors and organize the supplies which was a little too much fun for a science assistant. I'm just happy to be on Christmas break. Getting lots of exercise from walking the hill from the bus stop to your apartment after school everyday though."
Christian smiled. "Sounds like a good day for day at school. Christmas is the best part of the year."
I looked around the large open space that the kitchen, dining room and living room all shared and noticed the lack of decorations. "We better get decorating then. It's so bland in here."
He nodded, handing me my mug of tea. "Alright. Tomorrow then. I thought maybe we could just sit and talk a bit? Like we usually do? I can't think of anything to make a video about so I need some inspiration."
I agreed with a smile and a nod and we sipped our hot drinks, hoping to warm ourselves up on the cold winter day.

Like I said, no idea where this is really going. Just running with the idea. I will probably update a few times a week maybe more maybe less. Next chapter will be up soon I hope!
