Chapter 6?! Already?! My baby is growing up so fast :,) Actually I just write really fast. Like, sometimes I'll have a whole chapter written in one school day (yes, I write in class instead of doing work sometimes XD Living on the edge) and all I can say to myself is DAYUM. But it's usually crap so I rewrite :P Okay. On with the story!

Enjoy!

-------

"Your back!" Christian grabbed me around the waist and hugged me tightly, lifting me a few inches off the ground.

"I am, I am." I laughed as he set me down, not letting go of my waist. I snaked my arms through his and clasped them behind his waist. I smiled up at him. "What's all this about? Usually I get a cute smile and a hello. If I'm lucky, a kiss."

"I just missed you, I guess. I was worried your grandma was going to lock you in her dungeon and then feed you to her Chihuahuas."

"She doesn't have Chihuahuas. But I'm amazed as you are that I'm still in relatively one piece." I hugged Christian again, pressing my cheek into his sweater. Christian always smelled nice and that signature Christian smell got to linger on my clothes if I hugged him enough.

"Look," Christian spun around and pulled out of the embrace. He pointed at the now dazzling Christmas tree between the window and the fireplace. "Mom came home early last night so we could decorate it."

"It's beautiful. Good job. It finally feels like Christmas Spirit just barfed all over your apartment."

"That's a good thing right?" Christian asked, moving away from me to grab a bag of tortilla chips from the counter. I nodded and laughed.

--------

I hadn't occurred to me just how much I really enjoyed kissing Christian. Our attention had shifted from my YouTube playlist on the TV to each other. They were soft, slow kisses, with gentle hands on waist and neck. I smiled into the kiss, making Christian smile to. We stopped kissing and just held each other close, smiling.

"I liked that," Christian said, leaning back into the couch. "But really, I just like you in general."

I rested my head on his shoulder. "Good. Because I like you in general too."

--------

"UGH." The front door slammed, causing Christian to nearly jump off the couch. He grabbed me before he sent me tumbling off the couch. "Goddamit. Shit." We turned to see Christian's mom standing in the hall, furiously ripping her shoes off her feet. She threw her purse onto the counter and pulled out her phone.

"Are you okay?" Christian asked, shooting me an apologetic look before moving me out of his lap. He hurried around the couch to his mom, his face already downcast and worried.

"No, I'm not okay."  * May said sharply. "The company is firing again. And right during the holidays." She swore again.

"Did you get fired?!"

"No, I had to do the firing." I stood up from the couch and walked over. "Now they are short staffed and sending me on another stupid business trip. Why they didn't just keep the others until next year is beyond me. Now I have to do all the work." She pulled out a laptop and went to the kitchen table. "Christian, honey, could you start some water for tea?" May asked in a very stressed voice.

Christian scurried away, muttering "Of course, of course." I got the box of tea from the cupboard. Christian was biting his lip as he filled the kettle.

"Shit," May said again, sighing and running her fingers through her hair. She looked up and noticed both of us watching her. "Can you two get out? I need to be alone to sort all this out."

Christian's eyes filled with hurt. I took his arm gently and led him to his room. I closed the door and spoke in a hushed voice, "It will be okay. We will just leave her be until she is in a better mood." Christian nodded, his eyes glued to the floor.

Over the next hour, we grew very bored. It's funny how once you are being forced to spend time being quiet and in one room, then it becomes the worst thing ever. Any other situation and I would have loved a lazy afternoon just reading in bed with Christian.

Christian opened the curtains and sat in front of his camera. I lied down on the bed with the thick book from his nightstand.

"O-oh, hello there. My name is C-Christian." He stopped. I peeked past my feet at him. He shook his head, "No, no. Edit this out." He fixed his hair and tried again. And then again.

After his third attempt, I sat up. "Would it help if I left? I know you get really nervous."

"No!" He nearly yelled. "No," he quieted down, glancing at the door to the rest of the house. "Don't go. I'll get too lonely."

I settled back down on the bed, the spine of the book crackled as I opened it. I focused back on the words but could hear Christian get up and walk around his room. I heard him rummage around to my left. I saw him move back to his seat on the floor. The camera beeped and he cleared his throat.

"Uh, hello there. My name is Christian. Since, I didn't really know what to do for the video," He stopped and thought for a moment, "I figured I'd just write you guys a little song. If that's okay with you of course." Christian cleared his throat again and began to strum a few chords on his ukulele.

"I really like bein' in love,
It's really kinda fun.
Even though I'm stupid and dumb,
She doesn't mind.
That really didn't rhyme at all,
I'm not very tall.
I don't even know what I'm singing about.
So, I think I'll stop."

He flailed his arms a bit and quickly turned off the camera and set down his ukulele, muttering to himself. I was grinning ear to ear. I flipped my book closed, not caring about my page, and jumped off the bed.

My hands flew around his neck, pulling him to me. I pressed my lips to his, moving closer. Christian was unresponsive for just a second then kissed me right back. Our lips moved together. My heart was beating so quickly I nearly forgot to breathe. Christian leaned back a little on his arm, his other hand going to the small of my back. His arm gave out and we fell backwards onto the carpet. Christian broke the kiss to laugh. He gently took my face in his hands and brought me close enough to kiss my forehead. We stayed like this, arms around each other, faces close enough to feel each others breath, gazes locked, for only a moment.

Christian let go, sitting up and leaning against the drawers of his desk. He brought a nervous hand swallowed in the sleeve of his sweater to his face. I sat up and leaned against the bed frame. "Too much?" Christian nodded. He got so nervous and flustered sometimes. He always seemed to worry that he was doing something wrong.

I reached across the very short distance between us and brushed the tousled, black hair from his face. He pulled his knees in, seeming to make himself into a little ball. "What's wrong?"

"I'm scared."

"Why?" I asked softly.

"Because I feel happy." Christian mumbled.

I felt a sad smile tug at my lips. "Is that a bad thing?" I asked, even though I thought I knew what he meant. Depression was a tricky thing.

"Y-yes. Because, I...I just don't want to be sad again."

* Christian doesn't talk about his parents and I'm sure that his mom is a lovely person. This is his fictional mom lol! His mom's name probably isn't May either.... I'M JUST MAKIN THIS STUFF UP!

WHY DO I DO THIS?! ;-; SO SAD AND FLUFFY AT THE SAME TIME! BLEHHHH!
