Chapter 3: the doctors

As we entered the building, I couldn't help feeling the blood flush out of my face. The place looked dead with only the people behind the desk being there. Leon went up to the desk and said "appointment for Dakota smith." One of the nurse said " please wait in the waiting room, sir." We all sat in a chair next to each other.

While we waited for the doctor to call our name me and Sebastian played hand games as Leon was on his phone. As I won on rock, paper scissors. A nurse came out of a door and called out my name, we all stood up and followed the nurse into a room with a hospital bed and two chairs on the wall. I sat on the bed and the boys sat in the seats, all of us waiting for the doctor.

A guy came in who looked to be in his early twenties, he looked over at Leon who stood up and shook his hand "Leon, it's been awhile. How's it been old friend?" The doctor asked with a smile "good, how's your girlfriend?" Leon asked "good, is this your girl here?" The doctor asked as he nodded his head towards me, Leon chuckled " no she's my little sister." I smiled and waved at the doctor, "Dakota this is vix, he is a friend of mine. He'll take care you, OK?" Leon said as vix started to walk towards me, "so you lost your voice, when did you loose it?" Dr. vix asked me, I held up one finger telling him one year "one year, is that correct?" he asked me as he wrote on his paper, I nodded my head showing him that he was correct. "Okay I need you to lay on your back so I can see if your healthy for this surgery." vix said, i laid on my back as he checked my lungs, mouth, throat, and other. "Everything is healthy, but your voice box is a little cut. We can do surgery but you will have to stay in the hospital until you are healed. Will you have a ride to pick you up from here?" he said as I sat up from the bed "yes, me and Sebastian will be staying with Dakota while she's in the hospital." Leon said motioning him and Sebastian.

When we got out of the doctors office we headed straight toward the car, Dr.vix said that I will have surgery next week. "Are you nervous?" Sebastian asked as we were in the car, I nodded my head. "Don't be we're gonna be with you. By the way are you going to tell Cole?" Leon asked, I shrugged my shoulders ' I don't want to make him worry about me.' I sighed to them "so most likely your not gonna tell him." Sebastian said "if Cole rips offs our heads, im blaming you." Leon said pointing at me, I smiled. We got to the house and I opened the door to see Cole on the couch passed out. I smiled as I woke up Cole, who was half asleep and guided him to his room. When I came back to the living room Leon and Sebastian were on the couch watching a UFC fight, I went into the kitchen and got three beers. I handed them both a beer and sat between the huge guys that I call my family. "So lover boy been busy lately." Sebastian asked as he took a sip of his beer, I nodded my head thinking of all the work he has on his hands since he became alpha, Cole has been working nonstop and he wants to tell the pack that I am his mate and their Luna but i have been taking it slows. I leaned my head on Leon as I started to think if I told Cole of the surgery it would just put more stress on him and I don't want that for him. I felt myself slip away into darkness as I fell asleep.

I woke up to me hugging someones waist, I looked up to see Sebastian passed out. I rolled my eyes as I started to get up from the couch, but something was holding me back. I looked down to see Sebastian's hand was wrapped around my waist making me trapped. I gave up and went back to sleep hoping when I wake up he's awake. "What the fuck are you doing laying with Dakota?" a voice boomed as I woke up from my sleepless slumber, I opened my eyes to see Cole ready to punch Sebastian in the face. I got off of Sebastian and went between the both of them, my eyes started to water as I saw how angry Cole was, his eyes were full of rage. I felt the tears fall down my face as I ran to my room thinking that I was the reason that he was angry.

I closed my door and locked it feeling all the tears come down my face, why am I crying? 'Cole knows that me and Sebastian are pretty many siblings just like me and Leon.' I thought as I got up and started to get dress. I need to get out of the house, I'm surrounded by boys 24/7. I saw Oreo laying on my bed looking at me as I was getting dress. I need a break, we both do. I open the door to see Cole sitting across from my door, his head was down in his hands. When he notices the door was open his head shot up, he looked at me and stood up "kota, I'm sorry I was acting stupid." He said, I stopped him and shook my head as I passed him with Oreo following me. He followed me to the door until I stopped him and sighed 'I'm going to the park with Oreo.' "I'll go with you or someone can go with you like Nikki or Leon." Cole said in a rush, I shook my head and sighed 'no I just want it to be me and Oreo, like old times.' With that I opened the door and went to my car with Oreo right behind me, I opened my door and Oreo jumped in and into the passenger seat.

I started the car and looked at Oreo, I haven't got to see him that much because I've been busy. 'Yeah we both need a break.' I thought as I started driving to the park.
