Chapter 6: nightmares

Dakota's pov

I was woken from my sleep in the middle of the night by someone opening my door, I opened my eyes to see a man in all black going through my stuff. I sat up and grabbed the knife that was under my pillow, the man turned around and lifted his hood. I gasped as Cole was the one under the hood as he smiled, his eyes were bright red and his teeth and claws were sharp as knifes. I felt scared as he stocked towards me like I was prey. "Cole... It's me Dakota." I said as my whole body shook.

Cole growled as he jumped on me, with his claws ripping through my skin, I could feel the warm blood slid down my skin. I felt tears start running down my cheeks as I put my hands on Cole's shoulders and shook him as I gasped out "Cole...Cole, snap out of it.... Please, Cole." Instead of letting go his grip got tighter, at this point I couldn't breathe at all. Cole starred at me then smiled as he bit into my neck. I screamed as I felt the pain go through my body.

I screamed as I woke from my sleep, my hands went around my neck and it was fine. "What?" I whispered to myself, "it was just a dream? But it felt so real." I said to myself feeling my neck once again. Cole and Leon run into my room and turn on the lights "what's wrong? We heard screaming." Leon asked looking around my room, "nothing, I just had a nightmare sorry." I said to them. "Want me to sleep in here with you?" Leon asked looking worried for me, he hated me having nightmares. I heard Cole growl as he said "we can both sleep in here with you." I smiled and nodded my head.

Cole was sleeping in my bed, while Leon was sleeping on the floor. Cole was already asleep and so was Leon, I turned around in my bed to face Cole. He was cute when he was asleep, I signed and whispered "you would never hurt me, right?" I jumped out of my skin when Cole responded " I would never hurt you princess, not even to save my own life." His eyes were still closed as he spoke "what was your dream about?" I frowned and said " I don't want to talk about it." He opened his eyes and said "it was about me, wasn't it?" I signed and nodded my head. He closed his eyes and wrapped his hands around me, pulling to his hard chest "whatever happened in your dream will never happen in the real world." He said, and that made me calmer as I fell asleep in his arms.

I woke up with Oreo next to my face, I smiled and said with a yawn "hey baby, when did you wake up?" Oreo wagged his tail and barked as he jumped onto the bed, crushing me and Cole who I forgot was there. I laughed as Cole groaned from Oreo putting all his weight on him, he groaned as he gently pushed Oreo off of him. I giggled as he turned to me and looked at me like I was an angle or something, I stopped laughing and asked him "what? Do I have something on my face?" Cole looked at me for another moment and broke out in a smile as he grabbed me by the waist and brought me to his hard chest, he kissed my forehead and said softy "we should start sleeping in the same bed, I like waking up to a beautiful view." I blushed as I hide in his chest and smiled.

I heard Leon groan as he sat up and looked at us "can you stop with all this puppy love, it's starting to make me sick. I smiled and said "aw, Leon is left out." I moved out of Cole's arms and sat up in the bed, "my best friend can't be left out. So get I'll make your favorite breakfast pancakes, how bout that?" I asked him as I got out of the bed and went to the door leading to the hallway. Leon jumped straight up from the word 'pancakes' this man was in love with my pancakes and I loved cooking them.

After cooking both of the boys pancakes and watching a movie on Netflix. I felt myself start to fall asleep on Cole, who was really warm and put a blanket on me. Leon went to the warehouse to talk to the guys about the gang, so it was just me, Cole, and Oreo who was laying on my feet. When my eyes were closed, I ended up in a room that was covered in cement from top to bottom. I remember this place, this is when I got kidnapped. I looked down to see that I was in the same chair with rope tight around my wrist, I closed my eyes tight as I started to talk to myself "this can't be happening, this is not real."

I opened my eyes when I heard a door opening and closed behind a guy that walked in, the man walked towards me and sat in a chair that was In front of me. " Listen Dakota, I don't have that much time to talk to you, so listen very​ closely." The man said to me, I nodded my head and he continued to talk, "I'm your father, and I'm sorry I left you and your mother. But it was dangerous for me to come back, I need you to get out of town with your mother. Something very bad it's going to happen at that town and I don't want you in it." I creased my eyebrows in confusion and asked "why do I have to leave, I have people that I love here and they can protect me." He shook his head and said "look I'll be in town in two day, so I'll see you soon sweetie." I tried to pull free of the rope as I said "how did you do this?" I asked him before he could disappear, he smiled and said "I'm a hunter, I have my ways." And just like that he was gone.

Sorry guys I haven't written in a while, but I'm on spring break right now. So I actually have time to think of ideas for the story. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter.
