Chapter 9: Netflix and sleep

Cole's pov

"You better protect her with your life, you hear me!" I growled out as I slammed Leon into the wall, Austin pulled out his gun and pointed it at my temple "let go of my brother mutt." I let go of Leon and stepped back as I said "if Dakota even has a scratch on her, I will personally end your life slowly." Dakota came into the room and said " calm down, Leon has been by my side since we were little. He's not gonna let anyone near us." Dakota gave me a hug and kissed my cheek, I signed as I hugged Dakota back. Dakota released our hug as she faced Leon and said with a smile "you owe me." I wrapped my arms around Her as I whispered into her ear " you owe me, little one." I kissed Her neck as she started to giggle, but our moment was over as Dakota's father said with disgust "I can't believe my daughter is in love with a dog." I growled out "be careful what you say old man, remember your still in my house and my pack." Dakota groaned out and asked in annoyed voice "can you guys please just get along?" I signed and said "yeah baby, we'll try." I kissed her cheek as her dad went into the kitchen, leaving everyone else alone.

Dakota laughed at Leon as he started to clean up the chocolate that was spit on his shirt, "it's not funny." Leon said with a smile on his face, i smiled as well as Dakota kept on laughing. "How is that not funny, you seriously spit chocolate milk on you because you were making bubbles in them." Dakota said as she kept on laughing, Leon started to laugh as he kept on cleaning his shirt. I smiled as I stood behind Dakota as I wrapped my arms around her waist, I placed my nose between her neck and shoulder as I took a deep breath of her intoxicating scent. I heard Dakota sign as she leaned into me, I smiled as I went up to her ear and whispered "we should go to my room, just you and me." I heard Dakota's heartbeat quicken as her breathes shortened, "sure." Dakota answered with a shaky breath, I smiled as she stood up from her chair, and we started to walk to my room.

We entered my room and Dakota took a seat on my bed as I closed the door, my room was a master bedroom and was pretty big, my bed was a king-size with a dark Grey bed set on top of it. I had a 50' inch TV In front of my bed on the wall across from my bed. I sat down next to Dakota as she looked down at the bed, I smirked as she started to act shy "do you want to watch a movie?" I asked, she looked up at me with shock as she nodded her head. I smiled and got the TV remote as I turned on the big TV, I went to Netflix as I handed the remote to Dakota and said "pick out a movie, and I'll get some popcorn." Dakota took the remote and said "okay." As she laid on the bed and got comfy. I smiled as I walked out of the room and to the kitchen, I placed the popcorn in the microwave and waited it to be done. Leon walked into the kitchen and said " I am gonna go out tonight with Austin, tell kota night for me." I nodded my head and said "don't get into trouble this time, I don't have that much bail money." Leon laughed "I won't get in trouble, and last time it wasn't my fault." I gave him a 'are you serious?' look as he started to say "okay maybe it was my fault a little, but the guy tried to hit me first." I rolled my eyes and said "have fun Leon." He smiled and said "bye Cole."

The microwave dinged as the bag of popcorn was filled, I grabbed the bag and walked back to my room. I opened the door to see Dakota waiting for me, I smiled as I laid next to her as she pressed play on the remote. The movie started as we watched, I looked over at her and asked "what movie is this?" She looked over at me and said "it's princess and the frog." I nodded my head as we started to watch the movie again, when we're were in the middle of the movie I looked over and saw Dakota peacefully asleep. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her as I closed my eyes and went to a dreamless sleep.

I woke up to tingles on my chest, I opened my eyes to see Dakota staring at my chest and tracing my abs with her finger. I started to chuckle as she jumped and looked up towards my face, a blushed formed on her small cheeks as she hide her face. I smiled and placed my hand on her chin as I raised her face, I looked into her eyes with a smile as I said "don't be embarrassed." I looked at Dakota's lips as I started getting closer to her face, I closed my eyes as she did as well. We were seconds away from kissing until Leon slammed open the door and yelled "we need to leave now!!"
