Dakota's pov
today's the day when the doctor is going to try to get my voice back, Leon and Sebastian are going to be waiting at the hospital until I wake up which I told them not to but their stubborn. Cole didn't come home last night at all, but sometimes he doses that when something bad happens in the pack. And the boys, Leon told me that they were on a mission and won't come back until next week he said that him and Sebastian didn't go because they wanted to make sure nothing happens while im in surgery. They worry about me too much.
Cole's pov
I didn't get to see kota last night since I stayed at the pack house, trying to figure out why those rouges are here and what they want. I've been thinking of showing the pack kota and claim her as my mate and Luna, but I think that would be too much for her. But i at least want her to meet my mother and father, my mother has bothered me every day since I told her I found my mate. So today I am setting up for my parents to come over to the house and meet her, she'll probably be shocked but I think that she will love them and they will love her.
I sighed as I walked out of my office and to the front door, as little pups ran past me and their mothers chasing after them. ' I can't wait until mate is like those mothers, chasing after our children as they run around the house.' my wolf said as we imagined that in our head, I sighed as I exited the pack house and into my car. I was ready to go home and hold kota in my arms.
I opened the door to see the house dark and empty, "is anyone home?!" I yelled out. I took out my phone and called the only one that hangs out with kota every day, "hello?" Leon answered "where are you guys?" I asked feeling my wolf's rage "is can't really tell you that." He said "why is that?" I asked feeling my rage build up, "well Dakota didn't really want to tell you and she didn't want me to tell you either. But I'll call you when she wakes up." Leon said about to end the call "what do you mean wake up." I said before the line went dead. I growled as I sat down on the couch 'I can't go anywhere if she doesn't want me to, and I could use a bit of sleep right now.' I thought as I closed my eyes.
Dakota's pov
I flutter my eyes open as I heard a beeping sound. I looked around the room to see that I was in a hospital room, Leon was asleep on a chair next to my bed and I saw Sebastian passed out on the couch that was in the room 'how long was I out?' I thought as I sat up from the bed, causing Leon to wake up "Dakota! Your awake, are you feeling okay." He said as he hugged me "I'm fine." My vice came out scratchy as I jumped from my own voice, ' I can talk' I thought as I felt my neck which had bandage wrapped around it. I felt my tears come down as I looked up at Leon with a smiled and he started to laugh with tears commingled down his cheeks as he hugged me and whispered " it worked, it worked Dakota."
So it's been a week since the surgery, and Leon told me that Cole thinks I'm mad at him and is moaning around the house with bags under his eyes. I've been in the hospital all day today and they let me go in just a few minutes. "Come on, it's time to go." Leon said as he put my bag in the trunk of his huge SUV, I hopped into the back as Sebastian sat in the front "ready to go home?" He asked as he turned around in his seat, I nodded my head with a smile "remember, don't talk too much and to eat soft stuff like pudding." Sebastian said as he remembered what the nurse said. I rolled my eyes and nodded my head.
When we got home, I jumped out of the car and got on Leon's back as he opened the front door to the house, Oreo jumped around us as he wagged his tail. I jumped off of Leon's back and petted Oreo as he liked my face. "Dakota?" I looked up to see Cole, Leon was right he looked horrible. Cole had messy hair and bags under his eyes as his eyes looked dull, Cole walked over to me and pulled me into his chest. "Where have you been?" He asked as he hugged me tighter, I pulled away a little to see Cole's face "hi Cole." I said with a smile.
Cole starred at my face in shock and looked at the guys trying to get an answer, Leon answered "she got surgery, she can speak now. But for now it has to be limited." I smiled as Cole looked at me "That's great." He kissed my cheek as he said " I love you no matter what."
