Introduction

Trinity's eyes were focused on the sight in front of her; her image in the mirror. She had never been pretty but today she was sure she must be the ugliest thing in the world. Her size Xl body was anything but fabulous with her short frame of only 5'3. Her frown deepened the worry lines on her face.

Was it not possible for a girl like her to feel pretty or loved? Just because she was bigger should it have to be this way? It hadn't always been this way.... So why was it now?

She missed her best friend. Harry had always made her feel better when she was down. His words would make her believe she was beautiful if even for a moment, but she still couldn't quite figure out why he put up with her.

He was the opposite of her with his dazzling eyes and mop of curls. He was beautiful. She was not. But yet he stuck by her side.

He could not come to her rescue now, though.

He was off making his dreams come true.

Since he'd been gone she'd fallen back into her pattern of self harm, but when he'd call to check up on her, she'd fake a happy voice.

Apparently she was a better liar than she once thought.

She never wanted to let on to him how weak she was. She wanted to be worthy of his presence in her life.

It seemed to her Harry had been like a security blanket for her emotions and it was time to grow up and face the fact that sometimes reality hurt....

Vaguely she remembered the night before Harry's audition. He had seemed so excited, so animated, sitting across the room from her in that old red bean bag. She walked toward it now, sitting down. He had discussed how nervous he was and how he doubted he'd even make it through.

She had asked what song he would sing and with a smile he'd replied,"Isn't She Lovely"

A blush crept to her cheeks now just remembering how he had sang it for her that night. She closed her eyes and imagined he was there singing it again. As she hummed, she slowly brought the knife to her wrist.

The release was almost as beautiful as his voice, as him.

There was a knock on Trinity's door some time later that stirred her from her purposeful "sleep". It was the sound of her mother's voice. "X Factor is on" she quietly called from the other side of the door.

"I'll be right there!" Trinity called, her voice was hoarse and dry.

She hid the knife and pulled down her sleeve, running to watch the only peace of Heaven she would ever see on live t.v
