*Trinity and Grace*

Trinity was frozen, waiting for her mother to respond, but she hadn't yet. Her body began to shake as she realized that it was true. She had almost died. All the confirmation she needed was in her mother's eyes. That's when the tears began to fall.

In a moment, Grace had grabbed Trinity in a tight hug. She was sure it was supposed to be comforting but she didn't feel comforted. She really did love her mother and she knew she meant well but that was not who Trinity wanted right now.

        She wanted Harry.

She felt awful for not wanting her mother now, every other daughter would, but her mother hadn't been the person to comfort her when things were the worst. Harry had been that person.

She wondered where he was now. Was he mad that she had sent him away? She wished now she hadn't. Did he even care?

Grace pulled away then and smiled smally at her daughter. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Trinity started. "I'm fine.. now." Her voice broke then.

"And you will be from now on," Grace replied. She had so much concern in her voice that Trinity felt she wasn't lying.

And as far as making the best try at it, Grace wasn't lying. She had vowed from the moment she saw her daughter half dead in a hospital bed that she would keep her alive. She would make sure Trinity felt loved and never felt the need to take her life again.

*Harry*

Harry had made his way back from the cafeteria and was right outside of Trinity's room. Just moments earlier he had been about to enter the room when he had heard crying. At first he was scared. He had almost rushed into the room but stopped when he realized it wasn't just Trinity crying. Grace was, too. He backed away from the door giving them their private moment.

Now he was pacing up and down the small patch of hallway waiting for his turn to see her. He really needed to talk to Trinity and he would much rather do it in private.

His plan was to tell her how he felt but in a slow, easy way. He didn't want to scare her off. He couldn't stand it if he ruined what they had. As scary as it was to admit, he needed her in his life.

Just as he was making about his hundreth lap up and down the hall, Trinity's door opened revealing Grace. He stopped in his tracks.

Slowly, she smiled up at him. "Harry, she wants to see you."

If Grace knew what this was about it did not show on her face. He wished it had. She wanted to see him. He wanted to see her. He just hoped hers was for a good reason. If this ended bad he didn't know what he would do.

*Harry & Trinity*

Trinity was sitting on the edge of the bed, fumbling with a brush in her hands, when Harry walked in. Trinity didn't know what was up. She couldn't even hold onto a brush. Her shaky hands dropped it.

Sighing, she shook it off, and looked up at Harry. There was a hint of a smirk on his face but his eyes held something more. Those eyes. They enveloped you in a blanket of green and didn't want to let you go. Trinity had to remind herself to breath.

"Hi...." she trailed off. It was barely a whisper. She watched him as he slowly sauntered towards her and his lanky build sat beside her on the bed.

He looked down at her. She was nervous. He didn't know why. He wanted to know why.

"Hi, Trin," was all he spoke. He would not push this conversation for he had no idea where it was going. But he wanted to know where it was going so he knew whether to go on with what he wanted to say or not.

The nerves in her stomach where unbearable but she had to get this out. Even Grace had told her she needed to tell him. It wasn't safe to go on living for someone if they didn't know they were what you were living for.

Her conversation with her mother had turned deeper than either had ever thought it would and quicker. After her mother had vowed to never let her hurt again, Trinity had let the thoughts of her mind slip from her mouth.

She told her mother of how she knew she would be all right which of course Grace had asked how. This lead to an explination of how she actually felt for Harry. Trinity had never expected to have this moment with her mother. One way it was odd and another it was nice.

Trinity had not expected Grace to be brought to tears by this but she had. She was so happy Trinity had had someone there while she herself was weak. The fact that her mother cared at all had been the reason for Trinity's tears.

As the moments passed, and Harry watched her with uncertainty, Trinity built up her courage. "There's something I... I need to tell you."

Harry's eyes met hers and he saw the fear in them. He placed his hand on hers and whispered, "Go on. You can tell me anything."

In that moment, she found her strength and again it was in him. "Did you know you are the reason I live?"

Harry's face became emotionless before he spoke again with a quick, "What?" This is not what he had been expecting whatsoever.

"I mean... All those nights one more cut would have sent me over the edge... I stopped because of you." Trinity was blushing full on. This was something that embarrassed her for more than one reason. It made her seem crazy.

"I am? I'm what stopped you? Why?" Harry was flustered. He was sad and happy, worried and amazed. He didn't know what to feel.

"Yes you." Was all she said. She was aware it didn't answer any of his questions but she could not admit the rest yet. She was making progress but she was not ready to tell him about the endless nights and tears.

In a way, he was her angel and he guided her without even knowing. Even now, as they sat in a somewhat awkward silence, he lead her to do something. It was something so brave for her.

She leaned in slowly....

She was going to kiss but she stopped pure fear running through her veins. Instead her lips planted on his cheek.

It may have meant nothing to most people but to him and her both it was a thank you and a sign that when they both became stronger together a bond would be formed that could not be broken.

It was a sign that the other felt the way they did for eachother.
