*Harry & Reed*
One minute Trinity was a ball of nerves on his lap and the next she had fallen almost to the floor. He thanked God that he had been able to catch her before her head had hit the floor.
He looked up now at a cop and counsler just starring at them. "Well, aren't you going to help?!" He screamed. For goodness sake.
Linda ran from the room now, to get help, but Officer Reed just stayed in his place. His face held no emotion. Harry wondered what he was thinking; what he was doing.
Reed felt Harry's eyes on him. He looked at the boy, yes he was surely just a boy, and gave a small sigh. "Her mother was right."
Confusion came over Harry's face. "Excuse me?" he asked, concern in his accent.
Reed felt bad. Her mother had warned she would react bad to having to bring any of this up but he had not listened. He was a cop; he should have known better. This poor girl was in the hospital because she had tried to take her life due to the same reasons. He was an idiot.
Reed looked back at Harry who was still starring at him confused. Slowly he responded, "Just her mother warned me Trinity didn't.... respond as well to talking about the events that have occurred."
Harry froze inside and out. Oh God; poor Trinity. Trinity had told him many things about her life and about her mom and dad but for the life of him he couldn't remember it all going back that far. Could there be more to the story that she hadn't revealed? How bad could it be?
"It's okay," Harry slowly spoke, his raspy voice breaking deeper than it ever had, "I didn't know either." He looked at her with loving eyes and stroked her hair.
Reed wouldn't let it show but his father instincts were trying to come to the surface. Looking at how this boy looked at this girl; seeing how much he cared but how he really had no control. How scared he was and unsure. Reed wished this would of not happened to such a strong young man and to this innocent girl.
*Linda*
She was running down the halls looking for someone. There had been no nurses at all in the ward they were in. What kind of hospital was this?! She regretted ever working here.
Linda had known something bad was going to happen the moment the girl had started shaking. She should have stopped her, not encouraged her.
What kind of counsler was she?
Finally, as she entered another ward, the maternity ward, she saw a nurse walking by and not seeming busy. She would do.
"Excuse me, Miss!" Linda screamed out.
The nurse turned on her heel. When she seen it was Linda the polite nurse responded with a, "Good evening, Miss Black. How may I help you?"
Linda looked confused. Did she know this girl? She felt awful. She was terrible with names.
That didn't matter now though.
"I know this won't be your ward, hon, but all the nurses in ours seem to busy and we have a girl that just blacked out and we can't wake her."
The nurse started walking before she replied, "Of course! Come on show me where she is!" Linda could barely keep up.
*Grace*
Grace was in her car on the way to the hospital. She had told Officer Reed she'd give him some time with Trinity but she wanted to see her daughter.
It was the first time in about six years Grace hadn't felt scared about her every move. On her way she even stopped to get herself a cup of coffee. It was odd the euphoria she felt from taking the sips of the hot liquid. She felt free again. She felt young.
After a half hour had passed though, and a couple cups of coffee had been drunk, she was anxious to get back on the road. At times she seemed like a bad mom but in all reality she was trying her hardest.
Her mind was filled with worries. Was Trinity taking all of this all right? Was it too much considering? Had Craig hurt her or Harry very badly?
It seemed to her that the twenty minute drive to her destination was taking longer than that. Perhaps it was a sign. Maybe she shouldn't go. Would Trinity be mad at her?
She had to go though. She had to see it all for herself.
Before too long Grace pulled her black car into the parking lot of the hospital searching for a parking spot. When she did find one, she parked and got out of the car. She took a deep breath before walking for the doors. She just prayed they had been careful with her fragile daughter's mind.
And heart...
*Craig*
Craig was in prison. He wasn't sure which one.
The cell he was in had changed. That was odd. When he had first got there they threw him in a public one with at least twenty other guys. He knew that cell well. He would be out by the morning. He had let himself drift off to sleep.
Then, sometime later, a guard even bigger than he had drug him out by his collar. He was moved to an individual cell. It wasn't a good sign. What the hell?!
He didn't like the way this was all going. He couldn't see the future or know what they had on him but it wasn't looking good. There was no way out. He starred at the brick walls and cursed every person he had ever met.
He couldn't understand why the hell he was in here in the first place. All he had done was shut up that whiny mouthed kid from back talking him. He had done what needed to be done. Any judge would see that. He would tell the court his case.
But for now, he was trapped inside a modly, dingy, dark cell where his only friends were mice.
*Trinity*
There was a pressure on her chest. It felt like her heart was exploding. Someone spoke the words, "Ready? Clear!" and waves of shock rocked through her body. Her eyes flashed open and she let out a scream.
After sets of hands fixed her and unknown voices soothed her she finally began to look around.
Her eyes found six other sets looking at her: Officer Reeds, Lindas, Dr. Tedders, a nurse, Harrys and her mothers. She wanted to focus on Harrys. She wanted to grab him and hug him and ask what had just happened to her and why they were doing this.
She wanted to kiss him but she couldn't.
Her mother was here. She was more than just here. She was crying and Trinity felt the need to comfort her. She wasn't sure why.
Trinity opened her mouth to speak and Harry started to walk towards her, but then she said, "Mom." and he stopped. Her mother stepped towards her now. Trinity looked at the rest. "Can we have a moment?" and with that the room cleared.
