Chapter 14

River's P.O.V.

We were at school and everybody was talking....except for me. After what Zion said to me, I felt really bad and it made me realize that I really am cold hearted. I mean I have feelings for Zion but I don't know how to show feelings to someone that I have an interest in. I know how to treat friends but a romantic interest is a different thing.

I have tried talking to Zion but he would just brush me off. I cancelled the date with Jaxon and he understood. He knew he didn't like me as a girlfriend, it was more of a friendly liking.

I needed a plan to talk to Zion and I needed it fast.

"Hey guys, I need your help." Everyone's attention was on me. "I need to find out a way to talk to Zion privately but he won't talk to me. Any ideas?"

"How about you just shove him into a room and talk to him?" Aaron suggested. I wanted slap him in the back of his head but Scott did it for me. "That's a stupid idea Aaron." Scott said.

"Well I tried." Aaron said and pouted like a little kid. I rolled my eyes.

"How about we abduct him? We snatch him up out him in your car and you drive somewhere that he wouldn't know of and talk to him there." Rylan suggested.

"I think that's actually a good idea." Toby said. Everyone agreed. "Okay, since today is Friday, we're gonna do it today. Toby, Scott, Aaron, and Jaxon, I want you guys to abduct him and out him in my car right after third period cause I don't feel like staying in this hell hole the whole day. I'll be in my car waiting for you guys. Got it?" They nodded their heads and we continued on with our day.

*skip to after third period*

I was now in my car waiting for the boys to drop of Zion. I saw them coming out and struggling with him. The boys were beat up. Toby had a bruised eye, Scott had a scratch on his eyebrow, Aaron had blood coming from his mouth, and Jaxon was limping. "What happened to you guys?" I asked when they came closer.

"Well this dude decides to have a freaking fight with us and almost kicked all of out asses before Rylan and Tiara helped us out. Who knew they could fight?" Aaron said.

"Well that's great. Put him in the car." They put him in the passenger seat and I drove off.

"What are you doing?! This is called kidnapping which is illegal." Zion said.

"I'm not kidnapping you, I'm just borrowing you for a little while." I said with a smirk.

"That's the same thing." He said.

"Look, I just wanted to talk to you. You wouldn't give me the chance and this is what it had to come to. I'm sorry."

"You could've just told me you wanted to talk."

"You never even gave me a chance to talk to you so how was I suppose to do that." After I said that he just stayed quiet.

I drove to my place because I knew Rain and Ryan were at the park. Zion followed me into the elevator and I pressed the top button. He remained quiet.

We got to my place and he was looking around in awe. "Are your parents rich? And by the way of parents, are they okay with you bringing me to their house?"

"First, my dad is rich and my mom isn't. Second, this is my place."

"Oh...nice."

"Let's go talk on the balcony." I said and guided him to the balcony. We sat down and looked at the scene before us. It was a view of New York's buildings and it was beautiful.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Zion asked.

"Well I wanted to say sorry. For everything. I never meant to hurt you in any way. I actually like you too but I don't know how to express those feelings to anyone so I just ignore them. I never had been loved before. I mean my dad shows me love but it's only on my birthdays. Other than that I'm with my mom twenty four, seven and she hates my guts. She talked about me every time I was in the room and it didn't stop till I left and I don't even know if it stopped then. I just don't know what love is and I'm sorry. I don't know what I should do to you or how I should treat you." After all that, it was just quiet. I turned my head to look at him but then I was surprised with a kiss. At first, i didn't respond but then I gave in and started kissing him back. It was like heaven on earth. I didn't know that kissing him would feel like this.

We finally broke apart to catch our breath. "I've been wanting to do that ever since I met you and it was better than I've imagined."

I blushed.

I FREAKING BLUSHED!!!

I have never blushed for anyone before and my cheeks decide to turn on me now.

"But River, it's okay. I understand now. It's really not your fault at all. Some people are raised different ways and don't learn everything that other people learn. Don't beat yourself up over this."

"Thank you Zion. Thanks for forgiving me." I smiled.

"No, thank you." And he kissed me again.
