Part 13 Plus One

Four years or was almost four years all withered away but now all of a sudden the box of Pandora just opens up and causes great havoc.
The question was, Why?.

Why did he do what he did? Why did he like hurting me so much like it was a joke? Yes, the first two years were the most amazing and I understood him or I thought I did.

It was just a cruel joke to play with someone's emotions like that, a sensitive someone. I guess not everyone isn't what they seem to be, or I just was a very big hearted naïve person to believe his "oh so trusting words of calmness and love, I was fooled.

Tonight is the night to face him again with his beautiful Victoria Secret model, that I have to have a meeting with today. This is going to be one very nerve wrecking meeting, she doesn't know that her fiancé used to date me for almost four years, she doesn't know I have a son with him, she doesn't know about his past and his very many mistakes and his hard times in the past. What does she know?

Maybe she knows the "new" him, or maybe she knows more things about him that I never knew. Brushing of the thoughts of him and her I got out my bed and got ready for work, thanking the man above I woke up early this morning at 6:00am on the dot, I decided to wear my new and pretty floral office dress for work and my favorite nude heels that I have an outfit to match it with now. Letting my curls hang loose, I put on little makeup and made my way to work kissing my son goodbye and my mom. I was ready to tackle the day.

Getting to the office early felt good, I cleaned up my office a little for my meeting with Nani. I hope she doesn't ask too many questions, why the hell am I so nervous for?, she's just going to be here for a meeting and that's it.

  Walking to the employees break room, I made myself a cup of coffee, turning around I startled from Lettos frame so close to me.

"You almost made me spill coffee on me." I moved out of his way.

"Sorry I thought you were someone else." I looked up at him, his tie was crooked. I placed my cup of coffee on the counter beside me and faced Letto fixing his tie.

"Why do you always wear tuxedos?" I said undoing the tie.

"I don't always wear them, only when I have meetings and the times you see me is probably when I had or have meetings."

"Oh, well tonight wear something else than a tux." He nodded and I finished doing his tie.

"Thank you. That's a nice dress." He said and grabbed my cup of coffee off the counter.

"Heeyyy I need that." I faked pouted.

"Make another one for yourself, Byee." He sipped as he walked out the break room.

After finishing making myself another cup of coffee I walked to my office and there stood Nani facing out towards the city view.

"Wow you're early Miss Tai." I said setting down my coffee in my desk and sitting down behind my desk. The same time she sat down in front of me on one of the chairs there was.

"Yeah I had something else before this meeting but it got canceled so I thought I could come in early hoping you weren't busy." her voice so perky.

"Oh it's no problem."

"So I have all the ideas I want, I just need to arrange it in a way that says modern, chic and fancy." She pulled out a big folder. I pulled out the sketches and one other sketch. I have to say, these aren't so bad.
