The man strode angrily down the hall. His face gave the expression of stern authority, and that face was one all his allies feared. Anyone who was unlucky enough to pass him that minute shyed away in terror. The long hall was mostly silent, except for the echo given off by shoes stomping loudly on the ground.

"What do you mean, the Ridrhauhs are still alive?" He demanded, bursting through the door. He was faced with a room lined in computer moniters with a single figure sitting in a chair, facing away from him. The figure did not turn to reply.

"Laura and Roderich couldn't possiblly be more dead than they are now, don't worry. But their family name is significately less dead."

"Speak plainly, you idiot." The man commanded with irate fury. "Tell me exactly what you mean."

He finally spun around in his chair to face the man. Unlike the others outside who feared him, he looked at him calmly with a slight trace of a smirk on his face. His messy brown hair and clear blue eyes were behind by a pair of thick rim glasses, and he wore an old lab coat which looked like it needed to be washed.

"They have a daughter. Two, actually. Twins. They were sent to an orphanage once your dear friends passed away." He raised his eyebrow as he watched the man scowl at him. "Chris, Chris, calm down. It's not like they can do anything to hinder us."

Chris only stared daggers in reply. "What knowledge could their parents have shared with them? Even worse... What blood could they pass on? The Ridrhauhs have plagued our operations for years. We must end them."

"Dude, they're just kids. They're like eleven or something. Do you really think eleven-year-olds could endanger our operations?"

"Jake, they're Ridrhauhs. If they're anything like their parents, they're dangerous."

"Allow me to reiterate." Jake said again. "They are eleven."

"Children become adults. We need to exterminate them while they're still young."

"Exterminate? What are you, a Dalek?" Jake asked as he begun to mimic some sort of robot. Chris took a step toward him.

"Jake! Stop messing around! This is serious. Everything we've worked for... It could be-"

"Exterminated?"

Chris stared at Jake for a moment, fury blazing in his eyes until the smile vanished off his face. "Okay, okay, I'll shut up." He was silent for a heartbeat, but muttered, "Go ahead, yell at the little brother who just wants to lighten the mood."

"This is a mood we cannot afford to lighten." Chris clenched his hand into a fist and glanced at the tattoo on his arm. A snake curled around a dagger stared up at him. "We have to do something..."

"I agree. Let's start by eating dinner!" Jake exclaimed, standing up. His brother glared at him. "Okay, jeez. Maybe later." He said quietly, although still bearing the sarcastic tone his voice seemed to naturally carry.

"Look up everything about these children. Find where they're located." Chris ordered, turning to leave the room. The younger man spun around in his chair to face his computer.

"Aye aye captain."
