I walked through the front door and saw my mom in the kitchen, setting dishes out on the table. She noticed me and said "I was just about to check on you. Did you have fun out there?" she laughed.
Good. She didn't know.
"Yep. I love rainy days"
She giggled and took a dish of spaghetti and started serving our two plates.
After dinner, i went to my room and looked out my window, into the forest. It was pretty late so it was hard to see. All i could see was the rain and the moonlight.
I sat back onto my bed and layed down. Soon enough, i was asleep.
As soon as i woke up, i was overcome with excitement to see Vic again. He was the only other kid I've ever talked to that wasn't part of my family.
I got up and walked into the kitchen, where my mom was eating breakfast, with another plate opposite her, for me i assumed.
"Kellin i have to go to the store today so you know the drill. Stay in your room. Phone by you at all times. Do not go outside."
I smiled widely and said a small "okay"
