chapter 12

The stranger sat down next to me against the tree trunk.
He sighed and wiped his face once again. He then looked to me and i was able to see his face completely. It was covered in droplets of rain and it was slightly pink from what I'm assuming was caused by crying. He smiled and spoke "So why are you out here in the forest, when it's pouring out? And why don't you have a sweater on?" he asked me.
"I came out here to think about things i guess. Today's not a good day for me." i said while playing with the multiple band bracelets on my wrists. "What about you?" i returned his question.
"I'm visiting my home town." he answered. "Would you like to borrow my sweater? It's freezing." he offered.
"No no, it's fine really."
"Come on, just take it." he insisted as he pulled it over his head. Underneath, he was wearing a Pantera shirt.
I noticed that he was wearing a couple bracelets. One 'Welcome To The Black Parade' bracelet, one 'Falling in Reverse' bracelet, and one silver chain bracelet that i couldn't quite make out.
He handed me his sweater and i took it and put it on. He smiled and said "You look adorable in that." and he awed.
I smiled and looked down. "So, why were you crying?" i asked and kept looking down.
I heard him take a breath before he said
"I haven't been to this town since i was 12. I left on my birthday. Today's my birthday again and i decided to come back to this exact spot. I spent a lot of time here, at this same tree as a kid. For some reason i was hoping that an old friend of mine would be here, but its been 6 years. I don't know what i was thinking."
Suddenly it hit me. I choked on my breath and tears started streaming down my face.
"What's your name?" i asked through my small sobs.
