Day 4

I woke up in 3:00 am. Why is there screaming downstairs? I silently stood up from my bed and tiptoed to my door. I tiptoed to the stairs and peek over. Dad? I thought you were out of town?

"John! Let her be! I like Andrew and all because he's a good and honest man. I approve him and she's waiting for you to approve him!" Mom yelled. "I don't care if she's waiting! She picked the most annoying boy in her school!" Dad said. Seriously, I got offended.

"He is not. If she said yes to Paul Ritchie, are you gonna approve him?" Mom asked. Dad didn't respond. I slip on the stairs and they saw me.

"Lena, I-" I interrupted dad. "You don't like Andrew?" I asked. Tears are coming out in my eyes.

"Lena, it's not what you think... He's not-" he got cut again.

"You lied to me?!" I cried. Mom walked closer to me and tries to touch me but I jerk away. "DON'T TOUCH ME!"

"Lena... You should go-" I interrupted mom. "Dad, I've been dreaming this! Being in love who is completely in love with you too and this is what mom wanted for me and you want me to stay single and be sad about my life," I paused. "Can't you just get over the fact that this is life and your little girl is growing up?!" I cried. I ran upstairs, to my room and cried. I curled myself up in the corner and cried.

I will never forget this moment.

-

I woke up on the floor. I stood up and washed my face. I brushed my teeth and took a bath.

After 2 minutes of taking the shower, I changed then walked downstairs without a word. I sat down the table with Noah. "I made you waffles, hun." Mom said. I just nodded. My mom tried to cheer me up.

"She in a bad mood?" Noah asked. Mom shrugged. I ate the waffles and dad walked down the stairs. I stopped eating my waffles.

"Good morning." Dad said. He sat down the table and I stood up from the table, grabbed my bag and left. I don't feel like eating breakfast with dad. I'm not gonna call him or talk to him until he approves him.

-

I saw Andrew. Skating. Like always. He saw me. I hugged him. "Hey." He said.

"Hey..." I said in a boring way. He lets go. "You okay?"

He stares into my red eyes. "I'm fine."

"You don't look good," he said. "Are you sick again?"

"No." I answered.

"Then what's wrong?" He asked. "My dad... My mom lied to us that my dad is out of town," I paused. "Then I heard them fight. Fighting over me, you... Us. He doesn't approve you yet. My mom does but my dad... I'm waiting for him to approve you but he doesn't want to, he just can't get over the fact that I'm his little girl and I'm growing up. My mom, she wanted me this and so have I but my dad, no. He just wants me to be lonely and sad about my life."

"I'm never ever gonna forget that moment that we had a while ago..." I said. Andrew was just silent. He grabs my hand and pulls me onto his back.

"What are you doing?" I laughed. "I don't want you hurt again." He said.

"Andrew-" I got cut. He started skating and we weren't balanced. So he puts his two arms in the air sideways to keep me and Andrew balanced.

-

Andrew stops and I let go of him. I kissed him on the cheek and he hugs me. "Thank you..."

"No problem." He said. We let go. We walked inside and Paul trips me and Andrew over. I clenched my jaw and gritted my teeth and Paul is just there, laughing.
