Chapter 15

I turned on his radio. His favorite song was playing. I could see him, laughing. His favorite song is Never Close Our Eyes by Adam Lambert. I turn the volume louder but he turns it down.

"I don't want it louder." He says.

"Sensitive ears much?" I laugh.

He holds his laughter and I point my index finger at him. "Don't even hold it!" I dared him.

Then he bursts out of laughter. I laughed. "Okay, you got me. I have sensitive ears, 'kay?!"

I nodded confidently. I lean back and he looks at my twisted ankle. "I'm okay,"

"What makes you say that?" He asks.

I sigh. "Like it's not noticeable." I say stupidly.

He smiles and parks his car. I open my door and closed it and Andrew does the same. I walk very slowly and I stopped when I hear the skateboard's wheels. Andrew stops too and I let the kids play.

"How'd you know that there was a skateboard?" Andrew asks.

I shrug. "I just have good ears and I got them from my mom."

"Mommy's girl?" Andrew laughs.

I laughed. "Hope so but... Daddy's."

Andrew shrugged it off. We went inside the school and everyone was at their lockers. "2 more days for announcing of officers and... Spooky dance!!" Kelly said excitedly.

I breathed in and out rapidly because I got shocked. "Jesus, Kelly, you scared me to death..." I say.

Andrew and Kellylaughs. "Why were you absent?!" I ask sadly.

"Asthma," Kelly paused. "It got worst."

I nodded. "Well," I say. "You need to cough out that phlegm, though."

Kelly nodded. "I gotta run, bye!" She said and ran. Andrew's arm is on my shoulder and I faced him. Still walking though.

"N-yeah, 2 more days for the surprise." Andrew says.

He walks in front of me and started walking backwards. "Andrew," I say.

"Mhm?" He asks.

"You're insulting me." I laugh.

Andrew laughed. "What? Why?"

I glare at him funnily. "Stop walking backwards, idiot!!" I yell.

Andrew laughed. "So," I begin. "What's the surprise?"

"You'll see." Andrew says. I frown. I punch his shoulder but he backs away. I tumble forward but he catches me. "I HATE YOU!!" I yell.

He laughs and started sprinting. I can't do that, stupid Andrew. He's too far away from me and he stops at my locker which is far away from me. I sigh and try my best to walk as fast as I can with my twisted ankle. I finally reached it.

Andrew yawned playfully and looked at his nails. Bragging me how fast he is. "Took you long enough."

I narrow my eyes at him. "Says the man that thinks he is better than Lena Robinson for being a better athlete."

Andrew laughed. He moved to his locker and I open it. I put my books and notebooks in there and closed my locker.

"So, what's the surprise?" I tease.

Andrew glares at me. "I said, 'you'll see'." I laughed. The school bell rang and he closed his locker and hooked his hand with my free and lonely hand. I smile at him. He smiles back. He kisses my cheek and I giggle. He helped me walk to the English classroom and to my chair. I sat down on my chair and out my bag down and he does the same.
