Chapter 21

"Milk, milk, milk..." I trailed off when I saw the milk for Dylan. I put it in the cart. Yes, I went to the grocery for mom because she doesn't trust me for babysitting Dylan. She said that I might throw a party... true, true.

Then I looked for the cereal for me and Noah, Lucky Charms. I threw it at the cart, not minding the mess I have already and I slide to the vegetables section.

"Let's see here," I said, checking the list that mom gave me. "Ha, vegetables!"

I check some vegetables here and then I see broccoli on the list. "Ew!" I checked if there's broccoli and there is. I grabbed it and threw it at the basket carelessly. "Broccoli; check. Tomatoes..." I trailed off and saw some tomatoes.

"How many... 3." I whispered to myself. I picked three tomatoes and threw it in the basket. "Tomatoes; check. Lettuce; check. Cabbage; check. Pickles, cucumbers; check!" I then slide to the meat section. I'm not a vegetarian but I'm really grossed out because of the color; blood red. The grossest color in earth! I check the list and I need some pork. I was about to ask for plastic when two big pair of hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" A familiar voice teased.

"Andrew, what're you doing here?" I asked teasingly.

"Dang it! I dropped my British accent there! You know how hard it is to have an American accent when you're British?"

I ask for a plastic and grabbed some tongs. "Nope. It's easy for me." I started picking up some pork and putting it in the plastic bag that I'm holding. I give it to some random employee who is cutting down some animal parts to weigh it. The employee was done weighing it and put the price tag around the plastic.

"Thank you." I said. The employee smiled at me. I threw it at the basket that is empty. I separate vegetables, snacks, and meat stuff for the cart.

"What are you doing here?" I asked Andrew.

"Why is it bad?"

"Uhh... a little cuz' we're not official yet!" I exclaim.

Andrew leaned on the cart pushing it towards me and the wheels hit my toes very lightly. "Then why did you kiss me at prom night, huh?"

"I just missed you. I still don't trust you so we're not official yet," I said. "And, you dodged my question; what are you doing here?"

Andrew sighed. "Juice." I smiled and he smiled. I pushed him aside to push my cart. Andrew stops in front of the cart.

"Then how am I gonna show you that you can trust me already?" Andrew asked.

I chuckled. "Do you really want me back?"

"Yes!"

"How bad?" I teased. A smirk grows on my face.

Andrew smirks too. "I want you as my world again!"

"So you built a shrine about me in your room?" I tease.

Andrew's face began to turn red. "And you did." I teased again. I push the cart and I go to the fish section. "I'm really flattered, Andrew. Really flattered." I said winking.

"You are such a tease." Andrew says.

I pick up some fish and put it in the plastic bag and gave it to the employee. "Always have and always will." I smirk. Andrew laughs. That adorable laugh... brings back the old memories I had with him.

"So," Andrew begins. "Why grocery?"

I sighed. "Mom doesn't trust me with babysitting because she thinks that there will be a party that I am gonna throw so, I'm left with her chores. And why did you come to the grocery store?"

Andrew thought for a while. "I had to bring my little cousin some juice then I found you here."

"Remember, we're not official yet." I warn him. The employee gives me the bag of fish and I throw it at the cart carelessly, again. But sadly, Andrew fixes it. Gosh, he really does want me back.

"You know, Garfield?" I begin. "Hmh?"

The corner of my lips started to form a smile. "If you really want me back," Andrew started to smile. "You owe me a date. It's like, we never had one before," I said. "You just instantly... VRRRROOOOM!!" I laughed and so did Andrew.

"Bleh, I make things easier for my life and I make things hard when it's you with me," Andrew said. I checked my list and everything's checked. I pushed the cart to the cashier which is very far. I made to the middle. I felt arms around my waist and it was Andrew.

"I'll speed up for you," Andrew said. "Want that?"

I chuckle. "Of course." I giggle. Andrew pushed my feet up on the bars on the lower part of the cart and he speeds up. I started laughing and his feet join mine. He stops in front of the cashier and pushes it a little more. He and I started giving it to the employee whom I'm gonna pay for all this.

Minutes passed by already and the employee is done. "Pay in cash or credit card?"

"I'll take credit card." I gave the employee my credit card. The receipt coming out, he pulled and gave it to me and gave my credit card.

"Thank you for shopping here!" The employee said. I just ignored it like what everyone does except for mom. I looked at the receipt and checked the prices. It's fine. I put my credit card in my purse and the receipt and run towards Andrew who is carrying all the groceries.

"I can help too, you know." I chuckled. Andrew smiled.

"You hungry?" Andrew asked.

I smile. "You know me very well."

Andrew laughs. "So, what do you want?"

I thought for a while. "Maybe, ice cream will do." Andrew smiled and walked to an ice cream stand. He bought me a vanilla ice cream and for his, chocolate ice cream. I smiled as he gave me the vanilla ice cream. I licked my ice cream and he licked his. I dipped my finger in my ice cream and slid my finer on Andrew's nose. I laughed and Andrew licked it.

"When are you gonna owe me that date?" I asked.

"How about tonight?" Andrew asked. "You free tonight?"

I smiled. "'Course, I'm free tonight." Andrew smiled, pulled me to his side and kissed my cheek. I giggled. We ran to the parking lot and ran towards his car. He put the other groceries in his trunk and grabbed the other groceries that I'm holding in my hands. I smiled and got inside his car. He gets inside his car and daydreams for a while. I could tell that he was daydreaming because of his face.

"That's just adorable," I whispered to myself.

"What did you just say?" Andrew asked with a little laugh.

I smiled and laughed. "Nothing." I lied.

"Don't you dare lie to me, Lena," Andrew laughed and I laughed even harder. "Come on!"

"You'll know," I said. "Start the goddamn car already!" I say and Andrew did what he was told.

Andrew has the most adorable laughs that you'll ever hear. I'm glad that I'm back with him but we're not official yet.
