The bell that marked the beginning of the school day hadn't rung yet. I made my way down Delphia High's main hallway to meet up with Jana and Raeesa. I moved quickly, obviously not quickly enough because in barely two seconds, I was on the floor.
Splat!
After that, all I saw was pitch black.

"Wake up! Wake up dammit!"
"I think she's dead."
"Dead? You are so stupid, Jared. Honestly."
My eyes fluttered opened. The first thing I saw upon awakening was the bright fluorescent lights on the school ceiling, then the curious, horrified and shocked faces of what seemed like every student in a 50 mile radius. I sat up and looked around. My back hurt like hell, so did my neck and my head throbbed. I groaned; my day was going to suck, big time. Thankully, Raeesa and Jana were at my side and helped me to stand up.
"She's awake, let's go," A boy spat annoyedly at his friend.
"And where the hell do you think you're going?" Jana marched over to the tall, rather handsome, rather annoyed boy. She folded her arms and stood in his way. He backed up a little towards my direction before bumping into his best friend and cursing profanities under his breath.
"I don't have time for this and she," He pointed to me, "Is fine."
"I don't think so. You pushed her, knocking her out and now you'll have to pay the price for it." Jana turned to wink at me. Great. Now all I had to do was take a million more dirty looks from this guy and hope for the best.

Mrs. Stevenson's office was squeaky clean. There was nothing out of place. Even the contents of the waste paper basket seemed to be in order. I twiddled my thumbs nervously while gazing at the paintings around the room. There was a starry night sky and a telescope painting, a little seaview painting and of course, a painting of the school's main gate with it's semi-spiral entrance. Jana just opened a can of worms for me. In fact, I opened a can of worms for myself by walking so blindly.
"Hey, the name's Jared. This is-"
"Shut the fuck up, Jared." Mr. No-Name Brand barked. I felt bad for Jared, I mean, at least he was being friendly towards me. The boy that pushed me was absolutely beautiful and quite the opposite of his best friend. I think it would fit to call him the Angel of Death, considering he was beautiful and did almost kill me back there. I glanced at him quickly. His face was perfection. He had almond-shaped eyes of just the right size and a cute, slightly pointed nose. His hair fell perfectly on either side of his face, Prince-Charming style. He wore a leather jacket, a blue t-shirt, skinny jeans and black and white converse. I on the other hand, probably looked like an innocent little girl who has never even touched a boy before in her life with my perfect floral hijab and plain white cloak.
Ok well, I haven't touched any boys in that way before.
"Good morning, sorry to keep you both waiting," Mrs. Stevenson sat down behind her desk and set her glasses on the bridge of her nose before continuing to speak to us, "So what happened that has landed you both in my office? And your names are?" Mrs. Stevenson narrowed her eyes at-
"Azlan, Azlan Jabbar."
Wow... So Mystery Boy is Muslim...
