The next day, I was fine. No nightmares, no arguments, just bliss. Pure bliss. I hadn't seen or heard Rubina and her sisters for the last two days. Hamid and Shaarif were at home and playing video games. As for Azlan, I don't think I gave a damn about where he was or what he was doing. The grade get together was postponed to next Saturday. Daniel had texted me about it, then added me to a group chat. Almost everybody in our grade was on that group. Besides Azlan, of course. My phone wouldn't stop buzzing since Daniel added me to the group. It was actually getting really annoying. I ambled around the house lazily. I woke up at 11am so I was in a bit of a daze as I didn't have to read salah. I stayed up late on my phone last night, chatting to people on the group. It was nice and I was really looking forward to meeting up with everyone at Milton Square in a week's time. In the meanwhile, I needed to study for my last test of the term; chemistry. Since I was bored, I decided to have a shower.

I washed my bowl and spoon and placed them on the dish rack before making my way to my room to study for my test. By this time, I was wary of studying. I wasn't in the mood for the stress and my concentration levels were low. My cramps were out of this world and all I wanted to do, was crawl back into bed. As I walked to my room, I heard a male voice. It was coming from the room where we usually read salah. I tiptoed towards the door and pressed my back against the wall. I listened... Someone was reading Zuhr...

I speed-walked towards the living room. Hamid and Shaarif were still playing video games. I walked back to the room, quickly and quietly. I pushed the door open and low and behold, there he was, Azlan, in sujood. His back was turned towards me and he was so lost in prayer, that he did not even notice me peering around the door. I quickly pushed the door back to the way it was and rushed silently back to my room.

'Azlan Jabbar, you have made my day.'

I flopped onto my bed and grabbed my cell phone. I told myself that I would study for at least half an our before calling Raeesa. I had a million things to study but this call could just not wait.

Not with all the joy in my heart.

Azlan was a good Muslim. How did I miss this? I had never seen or heard him reading salah since he moved in with us about a week ago.

I called Raeesa.

"Hello? Raeesa Moolla speaking, how can I help you?"

"Oh gosh, Raeesa, you know it's only me," I laughed at Raeesa's funny, fake British accent.

"I know, I know. Caller ID. So what's up?"

"Dude... I have huge news. Guess what?"

"What? Is Azlan an undercover supermodel or something?"

"Uh... Not really... I was walking towards my room, right and you know how the salah room is right by the staircase?"

"Yup."

"I heard someone reading, a guy so I went to-"

"OMG... Let me guess... Someone came to rob you, saw the salah room and decided to repent for his sins in the midst of everything?"

I seriously rolled my eyes at his one.

"No! Just listen to me, chop!"

"Ok, I'll shut up now."

"Thank you. Anyway, I thought that it might be Hamid or Shaarif... Then I realised that they were playing video games in the living room. So I went back to the salah room, pushed the door open lightly and guess who and what I saw?"
