The picture above is to compare Aamirah's dressing (above pic in last chapter) to Rubina's dressing. For some reason, I always imagine Rubina in red. Let me know how you imagine the characters. Feel free to comment :).

I stepped out into Delphia High's main yard, clutching some books in one hand and the strap of my satchel in the other. Azlan leaned against the brick wall just outside the exit. He smirked as I walked by. "Good luck with working with your favourite cousin."
I turned around and shot Azlan a dirty look before walking off to the bus stop.
I greeted the driver when I hopped onto the bus and searched for Raeesa. Her hijab was green today. It was a very beautiful, deep green. Usually, I wasn't very fond of the colour. "Aamirah? Why is your face so scrunched up?" Raeesa tried to make a joke out of the situation but caused a few people to turn around and stare at us in the process. I waited for people to return back to what they were doing before I whispered to Raeesa.
"Azlan is tormenting me about Rubina."
"Don't worry, his words are just as unimportant as he is." As soon as Raeesa said that, I felt bad. Azlan was kind of important to me. I hated to admit it but he was a big part of my life. We shared the same house and he did save both our lives, after all.

"Assalamu 'Alaikum."
"Wa'alaikum Assalam, Mr. Ali." I smiled at hearing Mr. Ali's soft voice.
"How are you, dear?"
"Well thanks. Alhamdulillah. I'm sorry for not calling you for such a long time, sir..."
"Oh, it's alright. No worries at all." Mr. Ali chuckled on the other end of the line.
"Sir, I wanted to ask you a favour..."
"Sure. Ask away, child."
"Mr. Ali, I was wondering if you would be okay if my friend, cousin and I came over to interview you for a project that we have to do?" I crossed my fingers and shut my eyes so tight that they began to hurt.
"Alright. What is this project all about?" My eyes flew open in excitement and relief. Mr. Ali seemed really interested in our project once I pitched my idea to him. He agreed to let us interview him on Saturday. However, something about Mr. Ali's voice was worrying me.
"Is everything alright Mr. Ali?"
"Yes, I'm alright. No need to worry. Old age is just catching up to me." I laughed at Mr. Ali's joke but the doubtful feeling in my gut wouldn't subside. We said our goodbyes after Mr. Ali gave me his address and another number. He told me that if I couldn't get through to him, that I should call that number. It really felt good to talk to Mr. Ali again.
I rushed downstairs to the dining room to tell Rubina and Raeesa the news. They were busy doing some schoolwork when I got there. "Guys, Mr. Ali agreed to let us interview him." I beamed at them. Rubina simply scowled at me.
"Really? What if he said no? The project is due like next week an-"
"Can you at least try to be positive?" Raeesa chipped in. "The guy said yes. We're headed down the right path." That definitely shut Rubina up. I thanked Raeesa with my eyes and went on to doing my homework.
