The cover in this chapter is of Aamirah and Hamid because it involves their brotherly and sisterly relationship and just how close they are.
It's not often that you'd discuss the kind of thing that they discussed in this chapter, with one of your siblings of the opposite gender.
*I will actually make covers that correspond with the characters involved in the chapters ~ just to keep things more insteresting
Enjoy!🌝

"Goodbye, Aunty." I hugged Aunty Husna and waved at Unlce Ismail who was warming the car engine. The couple would leave their car at the airport and fly to Everson for the next three weeks. I sighed. I was going to miss my dear aunt and uncle. One thing I dreaded was Rubina's wrath. She was going to give me hell for the next few weeks, I just knew it. Us five kids, watched Aunty and Uncle drive away. Hamid and I waved, so did the triplets but Rubina was on her phone. Wow. She really took her amazing parents for granted.
What I wouldn't give to get my parents back into my life...
"Hey, Aamirah?"
"Yes, Hamid?" I eyed my brother suspiciously. He looked guilty and something was telling me that whatever he wanted to ask or let me know, was not going to worry me a bit.
"Can we speak in private?"
"Sure." I lead my younger brother to a spot in the garden that was far enough from the house. Once we were out of earshot of our cousins, Hamid began to speak.
"Aamirah..."
"C'mon, Hamid. What's the matter? You're kinda scaring me..."
"Sorry, sis. It's just that... There's this girl..."
My eyes nearly popped out of my skull and I choked on air, "What?!" I couldn't believe it. My little bro liked a girl.
No hey, Aamirah. He would obviously like an elephant. Eye roll on cue.
I took a moment to catch my breath. Hamid blushed like there was no tomorrow. He lowered his gaze. My brother, a modest 17 year old who had no intention of having a girlfriend let alone actually having feelings for a girl, was falling, and falling hard. I tried to think rationally and not get hyped up in the moment. I calmed myself down internally and smiled at Hamid.
"Don't worry, bro. I'm glad you've done the right thing by telling me. So... What's her name?"
"Well... That's part of my problem..."
"How is that a problem?"
This is so confusing...
"Petunia Ali."
"Petunia?"
"I just had a liking towards her because well, she's a great girl; smart, funny, athletic, a console gamer... She's everything a guy -any guy, could ever hope for. The problem is that I don't know whether she's Muslim or not. I mean, Petunia? And..."
"And?"
"It's nothing. I need your help, Aamirah. I don't know how to approach Petunia..."
"So you want suggestions from your older sis, huh?" I smirked at Hamid and his cheeks flamed.
"Well who else am I supposed to speak to? My friends are all guys. Not many of them have girlfriends. Besides, Aamirah, they give really bad advice and have no manners when dealing with girls. You're the best older sister in the entire world. I know that you would give me the best advice and I will never set foot on the wrong path with your guidance."
I took moment to digest my brother's words. My heart soared at how much he actually looked up to me. You don't usually find siblings with a small age gap looking up to their older siblings. "Alright, Hamid. I think that the best thing to do at this stage is gather up the courage to talk to Petunia. That way, you can befriend her and get to see if she's the type of person you'd want to spend your life with-"
"My life?!"
"Yeah, you shouldn't have such romantic relations with girls before marriage. You know that, don't you? Anyway, that's the hest advice I can give you. Other than that, the one thing that you should do is ask Allah for hidayah. You will never go wrong if Allah is with you, brother."
"Thank you, Aamirah. I knew you'd help me." Hamid gave me a friendly punch in the arm as we made our way back into the house for lunch.
