Chapter 12: Pitch Black

Ladvi was flying as fast as she could back to the city of Susa, back to The Order. She had never flown this fast in all her life. She had a purpose for this speed. The ones she cared most in the world was in grave danger. She flew like a bullet across grass plains, tall dense forests, and past many creatures and people. It took her just over 10 minutes to get back to the city, rather then a couple hours on horseback. Once inside The Order she frantically looked for someone she knew to help find Thristan, or better yet, Thristan himself.

Back at the castle Kai, Tea and Joey were giving there all fighting Deekus. They knew Deekus was a strong fighter but this was intense. Too intense. Deekus was fast. He stricked with lightening speed. The trio tried there best to dodge his knife. As Kai swung his swords, Deekus parried. When Tea jabbed with her staff, Deekus countered. And as Joey shoots his arrows, Deekus would dodge. He even did all three at the same time. Each of the trio were getting equally battered by his knifes, his strong kicks and killer tail whip. Everyone was huffing and puffing but Deekus wasen't even breaking a sweat. This fight started to become dire.

Ladvi flew all around shouting Thristan's name. She flew and flew until she flew into Ginjo's back.

"Oww...owwie, owwie, owwie." Ladvi mumbled while holding her head.

"Huh? Oh Ladvi, what are you doing here? Is everyone back already?" Ginjo said.

Ladvi was breathing heavily.

"No...Joey, Kai and Tea are in big trouble! Pitch Black is back!"

"What?!"

"Yeah, and Deekus is being controlled by Pitch!"

"Eer! Damn it."

"Where Thristan? We need his help!"

"You need more then Thristan's help. You need the Grandmaster's help as well. He's the only one who can defeat Pitch. I'll get Cassandra to find Thristan. Now let's go find the Grandmaster."

As Ginjo and Ladvi start for the Grandmaster's living quarters, they bump into Cassandra and Thristan and told them the news.

"Pitch is back?!" Cassandra said shocked.

"Yes, and we need you both to go to Duvursa and help your friends. Now get going. As fast as you can. Ladvi, you go with them. I'll follow once I find the Grandmaster." Ginjo said.

"Okay." Ladvi replied.

"Come on, let's get moving." Cassandra said running to the exit with Thristan and Ladvi right behind.

"This might seem like a dumb question, but who's Pitch?" Thristan asked.

"Pitch Black, or The Boogyman as he is also called, is the master of all darkness. He is one of the most powerful beings in both this world and your world. He is the only one that we know of that has so much power in both worlds." Cassandra said.

"Wait, wait, wait. The Boogyman? Seriously? Cut the crap who is he really?"

"I just told you. Believe it or not, he's very real and very powerful. We don't stand a chance fighting him but we have to at least hold him off until Ginjo comes back with the Grandmaster. And save everyone else."

"Why can't we defeat him?"

"Because he is the sole master of darkness. As long as there is darkness, there will always be Pitch. So we can slice him, cut him, blown him up, set him on fire, it won't matter. He'll just regenerate and come back."

They reach the horses.

"We need to hurry. If we don't get back soon, Deekus will kill them." Ladvi said worried.
