Sonic Adventure 2 Dream part 5

Before Team Sonic could do the deed of stopping Eggman, they had to first infiltrate the ruins using Tails.  After the young two tailed fox did his part it was time for Knuckles to find the keys to Eggman's projects.

"What? Why do I have to this?" Knuckles said.

"We all know you are the great treasure hunter Knuckles.  Why can't you do it?" Sonic said.

"Fine." Knuckles said.

Knuckles went and ran to get the keys inside of the ruins.  There were three key parts to get and he got them in a jiffy.

"Here, I got them." Knuckles said giving Sonic the keys. 

"Okay. Thank you Knuckles." Sonic said.

"Be careful and don't mess up." Knuckles said.

Amy followed Sonic and Tails to the Space Colony Ark and they began their heroic quest to stop Eggman...

Meanwhile, I was worried sick about Sonic and friends.  Yeah I know, I am a worry wart.  My parents and other characters outside of the Sonic series were in the hotel chilling out.  Ratchet and Jak were horsing around saying that the Sonic characters were probably gone out to space.  Ratchet though, said, "Jak, if they went out to space, they could be dead.  Who knows what lurks in this galaxy?"

"What's it like in your galaxy?" Daxter said.

"Well, there's the constant wars going on between planets and--wait what does that have to do with anything?" Ratchet said with his hands on his hips.

"Could you guys stop it?" My mom said to the two characters.  "What's even going on?"

"We were just talking about the Sonic Team and how they possibly could explore space in the conditions they are in." Clank said.

"Oh okay.  Keep it down.  Mr. Dutton is sleeping." The game characters called my dad Mr. Dutton.  It made sense it was out of respect.

About 30 minutes later...

Eggman was laughing up a storm thinking he was all alone in the Ark.  "This time I have done it! There is nothing that Sonic and his friends can do now!" Eggman said.

He wasn't alone.

Inside a part of the Ark, the Mobian heroes were busy looking in awe at the once known to be advanced Ark. 

"Wow this is the Space Colony Ark." Sonic said.

"It's huge." Amy said.

"To think that about 50 years ago this used to be the most advanced Ark in existence." Tails said.  "Now, it really isn't.  So here's the plan.  Sonic, you give the fake emerald to Eggman.  It will definitely trick him and I grab the real emerald and we will be all safe from harm."

"Right, I shouldn't mess up that one." Sonic said.  He eyed the emerald seeing that it's look is very similar to the real one.  "That looks like the real thing."

"Yep, only it has less power than the real ones.  Other than that, no one would know the difference!"

"Great! So all I have I to do is trick Eggman, swipe the real emerald and jam it inside the machine and that will stop everything from happening!"

So the Sonic team went off to race against time.

The three split up.  They had to be quick.

Sonic raced to the heart of the Ark.  When he made it there, Eggman was keeping Amy and Tails hostage...
