We all know that Spyro can fly in certain worlds but in this dream, he could fly anywhere he wants... We will get to how that is.
While I was hanging around in the house, I spotted Spyro gliding to my concrete yard. I wondered what had happened and why did he go to my front yard. Not that it was any f my business or that I had a problem with it at all... The year was once again, 2002. I was just turning 10...
I came out of the house and into my yard to see Spyro walking around and gliding. As I walked toward him, I checked to see if my parents were around... They wouldn't always let me around the fictional characters all the time.
"Hello Spyro." I said to him. "How are you doing today?" I said trying to sound shy.
"I'm fine. It's just today is something special." Spyro said confidently.
"Oh okay. What is going on?"
"I'm to fly outside for the first time. The elders think I'm ready to take the skies."
That was when Sparkster came in somehow. Sparkster is a rocket knight which is a knight with a sword and jet pack.
He looked at Spyro and then me. "What's going on?" He said.
"Spyro's going to learn how to fly." I said happily.
Sparkster looked and said with a chirp. "Fly? I thought dragons knew how to fly."
"I know how to fly." Spyro said with an upset face. "I'm just getting the hang of it."
"Oh sorry." I said. "You're just hanging out in the yard until you feel ready?"
Spyro looked at me. "If it's alright with you, we're trying the flight in your yard."
I just looked at him oddly. "O...kay."
Suddenly a dragon that was red-orange came by. No, not Ignitus. He went by another name... Magmus. He looked as serious as ever.
I wanted to ask, "Why my yard?" I kept silent however.
"Spyro... you have come to the age where your wings don't necessarily need magic to fly." Magmus said aloud.
Sparkster got a little frightened by the dragon's size so he kept quiet.
"It is time now that I teach you how to fly..."
Spyro nodded in agreement. I could tell in his face that he was a bit excited and nervous.
Magmus looked at me. "Could you move to the side please? This could take a lot of room."
I looked and said "Oh okay." I moved to the side of the garage's exit hall.
I pulled out the amber stone and looked in wonder. Spyro's first flight... I could not believe it.
I saw the dragon talk to Spyro. He looked at the small dragon and said, "Close your eyes... and listen to the elders to the past. There you will learn what many of the dragons of the past have been taught."
I look into the stone and saw that Spyro's wings were flapping as his eyes were closed. He was soon in flight.
Sparkster looked in shock.
"Spyro open your eyes!" Magmus said.
Spyro opened his eyes and saw that he was flying. Sparx was flying next to him with a smile.
"Hey, I can fly!" Spyro said.
Magmus said, "That's good young dragon."
Spyro flew back and landed down somewhat gracefully with a big smile on his face.
Sparkster snapped out of his stunned look and flew away.
"Now that you can fly," Magmus said, "You can journey to places that you never thought possible."
I put my amber stone back in my pocket.
"Is it safe?" I said quietly.
"Yes." Magmus said.
I came back to the yard. "Congratulations Spyro."
"Thanks." Spyro said.
Suddenly the portal opened up. It said, Island Flight.
"I guess that's my cue to go."
"Bye Spyro." I said.
"Hey, I'll see you later." Spyro said. "Come on Sparx!"
With that, the two went in the portal and Magmus flew away.
I went back inside with a smile on my face.
That was how Spyro had got his flying abilities in my dream. I hope you enjoyed it. It was just like the Legend of Spyro but a little different. I really don't know what is next to write though. I guess whatever I can remember.
