Chapter 9

A/N: I meant to ask you guys this last chapter but since I didn't, here goes?

Why do you think Luke reacted the way he did when hearing the name Faith?

Plus, I just realized I've been spelling Arzaylea's name wrong. Oops. So if made sure to spell it wrote this chapter.

On with the chapter!

Hot, salty tears made their way down Luke's cheeks. He was laying in his bed crying, like he had been since last night. Cara had to end the party early, claiming one of the neighbors called and threatened to call the cops. Jace, Isabela, and Cara all kept asking what was wrong with Luke, but he wouldn't say. He just kept crying into his pillow.

Now, it's 3 o'clock in the afternoon and he has only gotten up to go to the bathroom. His stomach is growling constantly, but he won't move. He's devastated.

Someone found out. The secret he's been keeping for three years. And to make matters worse, she found out. Arzaylea. The school slut, who's thirsty for popularity. And she's now his 'girlfriend'. The thought alone makes him want to puke.

He grabbed his phone from his nightstand to see a ton of notifications. Some from Instagram and Twitter and the rest from iMessage. All most all the text were from Cara, Jace, and Isabela, one from his mom and one from ...Calum?

He replied to his mom before focusing on the text from Calum. He didn't know he had Calum's number. Just to double check he went to his contacts and checked under the 'C' category. Low and behold, Calum's name was right there, first on the list.

He and Calum really hit it off last night. Luke would be lying if he said he didn't think Calum was cute. But Calum would never like Luke. He's straight as a pole. Right?

Well everyone is as straight as a pole at Berkly High, unless they have the guts to say otherwise.

Since he had nothing better to do than cry, he texted Calum.

Luke: Hey, sorry I didn't reply earlier.

He received a reply instantly.

Calum: No problem. 

Luke: Did you enjoy the rest of the party?

Calum: Yeah, but I had more fun talking to you.

Luke couldn't help the blush that crept up his neck.

Luke: Thanks. I can honestly say the same. After we stopped talking the party went downhill for me. I'd rather not talk about it though.

Calum: I'm sorry to hear that. I just kinda danced around and stuff. But I stopped because I can't dance to save my life.

Luke: Literally same. So, what are you doing now?

Calum: Just watching my niece.

Luke: Awe. How old is she?

Calum: 3 months. She's so fat! She can barely hold up her head. It's adorable.

Luke: She's not fat, she just has a lot of extra skin. She'll grow into it.

Calum: That's the first time I've heard that one.

Luke: Okay, off topic but isn't your sister in highschool?

Calum: I have two sisters. Mali, she's in her third year of college and she had a baby. And my twin sister Ariana. She's on the cheer team.

Luke: Oh. I was like that's a little early to have a baby.

Calum: Yeah, Ari wouldn't be having babies till she's like 25. But she's going to adopt.

Luke: That's cool. We should hang out more.

Calum: True. I have to babysit Faith Monday after school. You could come then if you'd like?

Luke: That's fine.

Calum: Well I have to go, bye. See you Monday.

Luke: See you Monday.

A/N: Short but it's a filler.

Also, I'm going to be starting a new book. It's called 'Beautiful Eyes'. I'll make sure to put it in an authors note when I upload it. I'll be updating it twice a week. Sometimes more depending on how I'm feeling. It'll be about 30 chapters long. And I already know it will have a sequel.

Plus I've decided not to give this book a sequel, because there is nothing more to write about.

But here is the description of it.

Luke is a young, 15 year old boy with beautiful eyes. He was precious, so innocent and those eyes were just icing on the cake. Everyone thought his eyes were just a gift of nature, one in a million.
