Chapter 3

Adeline's POV
Age: 13
Caleb and I watch TV but mostly on our phones like a normal teen
"Hey Caleb hey Addie" Mr.Billy says coming through the door
"Hey dad" he says not looking up from his phone
"Hey Mr.Billy" I said putting my phone down
"I don't know if your mom told you but Katie and Brennan are sleeping over. Are you sleeping over too Adeline?"
"Yes sir."
"Ok well Mrs.Katie will be home in like 3 minutes"
We all watch TV and Mr.Billy turned on the news and I watched it with him so did Caleb and Mrs.Katie came home.
"ADELINE!" Katie and Annie said giving me hugs
"Hi girls" I said laughing "Hi Mrs.Katie."
"Hey Adeline" she said. Brennan walked through the door it was kinda awkward because I have not met him yet but he was just looking at me and we make eye contact for what seems like forever.
"Hey Brennan" Caleb said making me and Brennan jump
"Hey Caleb"
"Ok Brennan, Addie, Addie, Brennan"
"Hi" I said quietly he just gave me a friendly smile
"So who's hungry?"
"I am!" Hayley said
"Oh Hayley I didn't even see you!" She was next to me and I gave her a hug then we sit at the island. I sit next to Caleb with Hayley at the end. Brennan across from Hayley and Katie in front of me and Annie and her parents on the other end of the table across from Caleb. Caleb was making jokes of course but no one really got them but they were so funny. And I can see Brennan glancing over at me and I have to admit he was pretty cute. But not like Caleb. I know what you're thinking oh my gosh of course you like Caleb blah blah blah and yes I like Caleb because have you not seen him?! Anyways Mrs.Katie films a little and I go throw my trash away along with everyone else and we sit on the couch watching Home and I was sitting with Katie and Annie on my left and Hayley on my right with Caleb. 30 minutes passed Hayley was out and she had her head on my lap. So I decide to text Caleb

A- should I bring Hayley up to her room she's snoring and drooling a little😂
C- Probably want me to come with?
A- Sure
I pick Hayley up without waking her and Caleb and I got upstairs to put her in bed.
"Have you seen Brennan?" Caleb said whispering
"No why?"
"Because he keeps like, I don't know looking at you"
"Oh"
"He's been basically staring at you since the movie stared"
"I'm pretty sure he was looking at Annie or Katie they're weird"
"I don't know I think some one like you" he says in a teasing way
"Shut up" I said laughing
We watch the movie and it was around 11:30ish and I was getting a little tired and laid my head on Caleb's shoulder and he played with my long Blonde hair. Katie and Annie still watching TV and I couldn't really see Brennan but I hope he was doing the same. I close my eyes.
30 Minutes Passed
"Ads wake up" Caleb said poking my cheek
"I'm up. What time is it?"
"It's like 12"
"Where is everyone?"
"In the basement wanna come?"
"Sure" I said walking down the basement behind Caleb. And Brennan was looking at me and Caleb weirdly and to make things more weird Annie had to suggest we play Truth or Dare
"Ok who wants to go first?"
"I will" Katie says "uhh...Caleb truth or dare" she says looking around the room
"Dare I guess"
"Ok I dare you to...like the bottom of your foot"
"Ok" he says sticking out his tongue and quickly touched it with his foot and pulled away.
"Ew ok Addie truth or dare?"
"Um truth"
"Ok oh i have a good one who do you like? Or do you like anyone?"
"I do like someone"I said looking over at Annie looking at me smirking. She was the only one who knew I like Caleb
"Who do you like then?"
"A person" I said trying not to say
"Well duh but who?" Oh shoot. I had to make up someone.
"Uhh um I-i like...um oops forgot his name ok Annie truth or dare"
"C'mon Ads" they all said to me
"No" I said laughing "you'll know some day because someone knows and I know they'll tell" I said vividly looking at Annie. She was smiling at me laughing.
"C-" she said
"ANNIE TRUTH OR DARE?!" I said cutting her off so no one could hear with everyone laughing
"Dare" she said
"Um Katie help me out" I said and she whispered into her ear
"Kiss Brennan" she said
"Wouldn't Caleb get mad at me and her?"
"Ask him" I whispered to Caleb and he said sure to see if she would actually do it
"Ok I dare you to kiss... Brennan"
"Um Brennan? Uh ok" she went over to him and kissed his cheek
"JULIANNE GRACE!" Caleb said laughing but trying to act serious
"It was a dare" she said back
"I know but why do you like someone?"
"Ugh no lets just go to bed" she said and everyone agreed. Katie and Annie headed up to Annie's room and Caleb went to Change into his PJ's so I was stuck with can you guess who? Brennan of course.
