Adeline's POV

Chapter 12
I woke up at around 9:30. Hayley and Annie were watching TV in the living room which I guess woke me up.
"Hey sleepy head" Annie said
"Hi" I said stretching "what time did you get up?"
"Like 30 minutes ago"
"Oh"
"What time did you go to bed?"
"I don't know...3:30 or 4"
"What were you doing?" She said chuckling
"Uh..nothing I don't know"
She looked at me with a confused and a 'really?' expression. I mouthed 'I'll tell you later' she just shrugged and went back on her phone and I went on mine for about 30 minutes.
"Breakfast is ready" Mrs.Katie said setting down the last plate
"Hey, wake up" I said shaking Caleb
"Noo" he groaned
"Your mom made chocolate chip pancakes"
"Ok fine" he said
We all walked over at the table and sat down and started eating.
"So what time did you guys go to bed last night?" Mrs.Katie said filming
"10:30 ish I guess" Hayley said
"11 something" Annie said
"What about you guys?" Mrs.Katie said pointing the camera at Caleb and I
I shrugged my shoulders and Caleb didn't say anything.
"Ok then" she said laughing

I was in Annie's room just talking about random things I guess.
"Ok so what were you going to say?" She said
"What?"
"You said you were going to tell me something later"
"Oh yeah never mind.."
"Juuusst teeelll meeee"
"I forgot"
"No you didn't"
"Mhm"
"Wh-" she said cutting herself off. Then she gave me a look. "What were you doing at 4:00 am last nigh?" She said wiggling her eyebrows.
I laughed. "Uhh nothing" I said failing to hide my smile.
"No it wasn't 'nothing' when I came down here you and Caleb were both on the couch." She said still giving me a look.
"Ok fine"
"Yay! Tell me nooooww" she said clapping
"I am I am" I said "ok so last night Caleb and I were talking. Good times yah yah yah and..." I stopped. Can I tell Annie about the kiss? Would Caleb be mad? Ughhh "oops I forgot..."
"OMG ADELINE JUST TELL ME"
I threw my head back. "I don't know.."
"You are so confusing"
"I know, I know"
"I am one of your best friends just tell me" I could tell she was getting annoyed.
"Ok fine but you can't tell ANYONE"
"Nobody"
"Promise"
"Promise"
"Not even Katie?"
"Not even Katie. She said holding up her hand
"Ok so like I was saying i was watching TV with Caleb and we were just talking..."
"Yeah..."
"And he was all like..." I still didn't know if I should tell her. "Hey remember when we kissed?" I said really fast so she couldn't hear the words.
"What?"
"Hey remember when we kissed" I said fast like last time
"Again, and not fast"
"Hey...remember...when...we kissed" I said the we kissed part fast. But somehow she knew what I was saying
"WAIT WHAT?!" She said. "You...aww"
"Yeah but it was nothing"
"Ok just tell the rest"
"Ok.." I started off from where I was. "And I was like yes? And he was like, and I said we should just be friends"
I'm not going to explain it again you guys already know.
"Aww Caddie or wait no, Aleb I don't care you guys are so cute"
"Ok whatever but you have to promise that you won't tell ANYBODY"
"I promise. You secret is safe with me"
"I hope so. Oh and I don't even know if Caleb wanted me to tell anybody so that's another thing. So if you tell he's probably going to be mad or upset or-"
"Adeline it's fine I get it."
"Ok thanks" I sighed relieved
"Ok but you guys aren't dating?"
"No. Not until we're older and if we still have feeling for each other like that"
"Oh.." She said shaking her head "I wouldn't be surprised"
"What are you talking about?"
"Come on Addie. He talks about you all the time. You both have the same interests. You both play Baseball and Softball. You guys are perfect." She said
I couldn't help but blush. I never realized that. But a guy like Caleb would like me? I would've never thought of that. I mean come on. He's perfect. Has 2,000,000+ subscribers on YouTube. Plays Baseball. And is popular in school. It's so i don't know...weird? I don't know how to word that. I need to get over myself. By the time were at the 'age' to date' he probably won't like me.
