Chapter 5

Adeline's POV
Age: 13
(A couple days pass)
"Ugh why do teachers hate us so much that they have to make us read during the Summer" Caleb groaned
"Hey well at least you get to read with me" I said laughing
"Ya so much better" Caleb said sarcastically
"Hey I'm fun"
"Sureee" Caleb said laughing
"I am fun" I said throwing a pillow at him
"Hey! You asked for it!" Caleb said holding up a pillow
"No Caleb please!" I pleaded. Caleb is a baseball player. And when he throws stuff...it hurts and I mean hurts he threw a water bottle at me and it left a bruise. And no he didn't mean it but still. Hurts.
"Why shouldn't I?" He said smirking
"Becawse I'm your best fwend." I said laughing "I hurts when you throw a pillow"
"I know right" he said laughing. Before I knew it I saw him throw it. And me being dumb me, trying to dodge it, I fall off his the bed and it made a loud thud
"Oh..my gosh" Caleb says some how managing his words out through his laughter "are you ok?" He says still laughing getting off the couch on the corner of my room walking up to me with his hand stuck out.
"Haha very" I stopped getting up but before I knew it our faces were inches away. Butterflies. All I can feel. I've liked Caleb for a while but dang. I love him. Wait did I just say that? I'm only 13.
"Funny" I said still inches away from his face. We both move closer and before I knew it I felt his lips pressed against mine. My stomach flip flopped. His warm, soft lips made it almost impossible to pull away. But I did it anyway. I'm so freaking stupid.
We didn't say anything for awhile.
"Caleb Addie dinner!" My mom yelled
"We better go" I said inches away from his face like before.
"Yeah" he said
We walk down the stairs. Thoughts filled my mind like, does he like me? Did he just do that because I made the first move? Did I make the first move? Are we dating?
I decide to push it aside and eat.
"So what are we having mom?"
"Chicken"
"Oh great" I said "for the past 2 days" I said whispering so she wouldn't hear. Caleb must have because he chuckled which made me laugh
"What's so funny you two? And did you do a lot upstairs?"
"Yep" I said. She obviously didn't know and I could see Caleb glance at me from the corner of my eye. Which made me blush which I guess made him blush.
(Sorry that did not make sense😂)
Gosh. He was perfect. His warm caramel eyes and the way when he smiled his dimples showed and his little creases under his eyes. I'm just lucky to even know him.
(A few hours pass)
"I got a text from my mom, it says I have to go home" Caleb says
"Ok, I'll walk you home?"
"Sure"
I tell my mom that I'm going to walk him home which I always do when he leaves since his house is only a few houses down.
We didn't say anything for a while.
"Hey Adeline?" Caleb says breaking the silence
"Yes?"
"I feel like we're better off being friends" he said

I love this chapter lol. So what is Caleb going to say? I guess we'll have to find out for 2 likes😂 and I was watching gmw (girl meets world) AND YESS MUCAS EW RUCAS AND IM JUST HAPPY THAT THEY KINDA DID THE SAME THING LIKE BMW (boy meets world geez) WHEN THEYRE AND THE SKEY LODGE AND THERE IS A MYSTERIOUS BOY AND RILEY HURTS HER ANKLE.
