It took me awhile to figure out who it was.
"Caleb?"
"Hey"
"What are you doing it's literally 4am"
"I have to tell you something"
"Can't it wait"
"Not really"
"Ok but I'm rea-" I stopped as he grabbed my hand.
He led me to the lounge room.
"What do you want" I asked grumpily
"I need to tell you something about the kiss with Sydney.."
"Oh." "It's nothing I don't ca-"
"Can you just listen"
"fine"
"Ok so I heard Luke dare Sydney I just didn't know she would actually kiss me."
"Ok and.."
"And I turn and she kissed me"
"Yeah..I saw" "I was there" I said turning my head
"Adeline stop" he said. Grabbing my hand
"Caleb It's noting if you like Sydney I don't care"
"But I don't"
"But you kissed back" I said my voice cracking.
After that there was just silence.
"Ok then." I said turning around to get up
"Adeline"
"Caleb stop I heard you I saw everything I don't care I-" I got cut off when his lips crashed onto mine.
I have only kissed him twice but it still feels like the first time. The same butterflies. The Sparks. It just felt right.
We stayed like that for a good 5 seconds until we both pulled away.
"does that show you?" He said smirking.
I couldn't help but smile. "Why did you do that?" I said
"Because Adeline I like you. A lot. And I don't want you thinking that I like another girl. I like you"
The last sentence made me go crazy inside.
"And I know we're only 13 but I want to be more than friends. And people say that you're too 'young' to know what it feels to love someone. Or to even date. But I-i...I love you."
I gave a sigh of relief "really?"
He nodded.
"I-i love yo-you too"
"Really?"
"Yes" I said laughing. "And you know that"
"Soo.." "Now what?"
"I don't know.." I had absolute no clue.
"Adeline?"
"Yes?"
"Would you like...want to be my.." "Girlfriend?"
