Eddie P.O.V
I heard a small noise come from the left side of the room, but I ignored it. I always used to have a hard time in Science, but I'm determined to get my grade up by the time we start our work!
My head shot up as the teacher started speaking. Then, my eyes laid on the prettiest boy I have ever seen. This may sound corny, but he looked like an angel. With his soft-looking, wavy hair and the way he held his posture... Wait, wait, wait. Eddie stop that, you don't like guys, I mentally scolded myself. Or... Or did I? I've never had a boyfriend before, although the girlfriends I've been with I soon stopped loving.
Getting lost in my endless thoughts, I was pulled back to reality by the sound of the teacher saying my name. "...Aleksandr, you'll be sitting by Edwin for now." I groaned, "my name's Eddieeeee!" The teacher ignored my complains, but my matter on my name was soon left behind as the new kid-Er, Aleksandr. The closer he got, the more my fingers curled in anticipation of him sitting next to me.
By the time he was sitting next to me, I was digging my nails into the palms of my hands. Yet I quickly picked myself up, and continued on with my work, but more shakily.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could tell Aleksandr was confused as to what everyone was doing. Oh, yeah. We were doing a little questionnaire sheet about ourselves. It was basically needed for all of our classes. Although he didn't get one, there was two that were handed out to me, but I was planning on giving it back to the teacher by the time this class was over.
I took out the extra copy and gingerly slid it to Aleksandr. When he noticed, he stared back at me. In these kinds of nervous times, I smile and laugh. And that's exactly what I did. Smiled my 'beautiful' smile everyone said I had.
"I'm Eddie Cardona, nice to meet you!" I tried to say in the most cheerful tone I could without my voice cracking from sheer nervousness. "Uhm, I'm Aleks." When those words slipped out of his mouth, my heart soared. Aleks. Aleks, Aleks, Aleks. Such a pretty name, pretty voice, pretty face, pretty EVERYTHING!
Oh gosh, I'm acting like a schoolgirl. After being captivated for what seemed to be forever, I looked away and blushed madly. I have to focus, Eddie. Focus.

After what seemed like an eternity of silence sitting next to Aleks, the bell rang and the classroom swarmed out of the room like bees. I decided to warm up to Aleks before we left for our next classes. I caught him by the shoulder, and he blushed instantly when he knew who it was.
"Hey, Aleks! I was wondering, maybe you wanted to sit with me at lunch? After fourth period?" His cheeks flushed darker, "Uh, sure, no problem." My heart was like a drum. With any words, I'm pretty sure he can pick up anyone.
Before I could even smile, I was pulled away by a familiar hand. All I could see was the back of a red hat. The person pulling me along spoke up. "You have Calc next class, right?"
"Oh, hey Jordan." I pulled out my schedule to skim over and check for my period I was being whisked off to. "Yeah, with Mr. Cummings, yeah?" But all I got was a quick, thin-lipped smile and a nod. This was one of the classes I excelled at greatly. I was a bit advanced, but due to problems with classes and all that, I had no choice to take high school courses in Maths. It's really boring if you ask me. I like challenges, but this class doesn't have what I need.
So when we were finally in the classroom, in our desks and going over the things expected from us in this class, I just...
Couldn't take my mind off Aleks.
Out of sheer boredom, I took out my pencil and a notebook and started drawing. I drew stuff to get my mind off of that kid, but everything that came from my pencil just turned into Aleks. I groaned and put my head down, after wanting to originally draw Eren from Attack on Titan, and having it turn magically into Aleks. And before I knew it, I was thinking to myself the things I've taken a liking to about Aleks.
His hair colour
The way his shirt falls on his body
How he holds his pencil
Shape of his lips
I stopped myself from getting any weirder, and I mentally slapped my face. Eddie, say it with me, I. Don't. Like...
The bell got the best of me. It rang, and pulled me out of my trance. But after that, the other two hours were brutally long. I just wanted to get to know Aleks more. Like, what kind of shampoo does he use? Does he like video games? But more importantly, does he like guys? N-not saying I do or anything! Just, curious...
----
The end of fourth period, and to lunch. I practically ran to my locker to put my things away. I was in such a hurry, two teachers scolded me and one of them sent me back to the end of the hall to walk slowly. I'm just really excited to have a new friend.
When I had my things back in, I was eager to not only talk to my friends again, but to see the person that's been stuck in my mind all morning. The white doors were open to the cafeteria, and I jumped in
I saw a Cookie Monster beanie in the sea of the hungry teens, and headed for that. When we collided, I was brought into a big hug, and some incoherent mumbling.
James and I met when we were really young, about three years old. We're both of the same heritage as well, although I'm 100% from Mexico. When we sat down, the only people that were at the table was just me and James. We rambled on, until more of our friends started to arrive.
One blond boy in a Mario shirt named Seamus, the other called Dan in a Batman shirt and sporting somewhat of a beard both walked into the cafeteria together. They took their seats, the blonde next to James and the other in an empty seat by himself. Soon, even more people attended the table. A man with an even more grown beard lugging around a horse head that goes by the name of Nick sat down, and he yells about how he lost a bet and had to wear that goofy horse mask. Jordan sat down soon after, being as loud and stupid as ever. It also seemed like both of the Stevens were absent-one that likes to be called Steven and the other that prefers the nickname Ze. I also swore I saw Kevin around...?
By then I was getting nervous. I didn't think that Aleks would go home or not eat here. What if he was just an advanced junior and got to take a class with seniors? I started to tap my foot. I move around a lot when I get nervous, too. I have a lot of habits.
I started to tap my fingers,
Flex my jaw,
Roll my shoulders back.
Anything.
I was about to loose it when I saw Kevin in the corner of my eye sit down with a plastered-on smile, one seat next to me. That's it, I'm so stupid to think someone's I just met woul-
"Uh, hey, sorry I'm a bit late," I heard a soft voice say. The weight of another person next to me made my heart jump into my throat.
I giggled loudly.
