What Have I Done?

Suddenly Zs started to pour around the corner after him. Luckily, he was quick enough to get in though the door and shut it before any Zs got in. Warren went into complete leader mode and quickly came up with a plan as Murphy just moaned and rolled over in his bed.

I still don't understand him. Why does he hate everyone so much? Did he lose someone close to him? Or is that just the way he is. Cold.

"Do you think the other cabin heard the Zs too?" I asked Warren as she tried to discuss what to do.
"I think they are smart enough to know to stay in their cabin," 10k smirk at me.
"Ya and I think our best plan is to just stay here until all the zombies leave," Warren continued as we listened to the banging and scratching on the sides and door of the cabin.

Warren was right. The best thing for us to do is to stay in here. Even though the cabin is small and probably hasn't seen any human contact since before the apocalypse. It was a nice little place. The beds weren't very comfy but it was still cozy and warm during the damp cold nights. I'd rather be in a warm cozy place with an uncomfortable bed, rather have a comfy bed out in the open.

And being with 10k made me feel a lot more comfortable. He has been my anchor for the last month since my sisters death.
She was the only thing that I had left of home and the only one that actually cared about me for the first 2 years of the apocalypse.
But when I met 10k it was like something completely new but it was so comforting. He cares for me like no one else has since even before the zombies came along.

As I began to fall back asleep there was a large cracking sound. Panic began to set in and we all looked around the walls and the roof to see what was going on. The walls were made of wood so one crack might make the whole building fall.

CRACK!

There it was again! What is going on? Warren suddenly pointed at an eye level part of the wall.
"There! The Zs are leaning on the wall and it's putting to much pressure on it."

"What do we do?", I panicked. 10k put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring look before speaking, " we can try and barricade the wall to reinforce it."
Warren agreed with his idea. Quickly we came up with the plan of dismantling one of the beds and using the boards to keep the wall sturdy.

"I really hope this works," I mumbled backing away from the weak wall. "I hope these Z's go away soon," Warren announced proudly.

A few minutes had gone by without any wall creaking or cracking. Slowly the moaning and grunting the the beasts faded and the sound of footsteps disappeared. 10k decided it was a good time to check the door to see if any were left.
Slowly, he pulled open the door with his knife at the ready. As the door became wide enough for him to fit through, he slipped through to the outside world where dead things previously roamed. A moment of silence passed before 10k came to the door again to call us all out. "The others are all here. They have news," he announced with a bit of sadness in his voice.

As each of us came out, we scanned our scene. By now, the sun had begun to show itself over the horizon. The other shack that the others were in was completely demolished. I quickly got over to beside 10k where I felt safe.

Warren spoke with a panicked voice, "what happened to you guys? Are all of you ok?"
Addy spoke up, " we're all ok. No one was bitten but we've all got bumps and bruises. The shack fell on us and we couldn't do much by lay in wait for the Z's to pass."
"Oh that's horrible! Can we get a move on now?" Murphy said with attitude.

"You know what Murphy?" I said with tone of disgust, "you should be ashamed of yourself! These people have been here for you and what do you give them in return? Nothing! Because you're just a jerk that no one likes!" Once I said that I completely regret it. The look on murphy's face was unexpected. He gave me that saddest look. I didn't mean to hurt him I just wanted him to realize what he's doing.

Without a word. Murphy turned and began to walk away. He wasn't stopping. He just kept walking. Everyone began to call at him to come back but he just waved his hands in the air and kept walking.

What have I done?

So just a little side note... I'm so sorry for the very..... Very..... Extremely late update but I've just had majors writers block and to be honest... I forgot about this story. But here it is, the next chapter!
