Michael paced back and forth inside his living room. He wasn't sure what he was thinking.

Was he really going to kiss Avery last night?

He was.

He almost hit himself on the face. He wasn't sure if it has just because of the heat of the moment or if he would do it again.

He can't get a person inside his life again. Romantically or not. It's not just going to eventually hurt him but the person associated with him too. He isn't well. Not mentally.

He let himself fall on the couch.

He needed to tell her to forget what happened the night before.

But he really didn't want to.

Avery was getting ready for school. She put on some tight skinny jeans and an a loose sweater.
She looked at herself in the mirror and frowned.

'I still need to lose a few pounds' She thought to herself and sighed, faking a smile at herself. 'A few more to go'

Michael looked for clean jeans on the floor  of his bedroom, if he didn't hurry he would be late.

He hurried off to the kitchen wanting to have some breakfast. That would be a hard task, considering the kitchen is full of paintings.

He removed one from in front of the fridge to grab some milk and grabbed some cereal from the counter.

'Maybe we can have something' He thought as he had a mouthfull of cereal. 'Maybe it doesn't have to turn out badly.'

Avery walked downstairs to find a note from her mom.

Good Morning honey. Breakfast and lunch are in the fridge. -xx

Avery opened the fridge, got out the containers, opened them and headed towards the trash can. She scraped the food off the containers into the trash bin and put the contaiers in the dirty dishes for later.

You're just doing what needs to be done.

Michael almost ran to school because he thought he would be late.

When he arrived almost  no one was there.

He checked his watch and furrowed his eyebrow. If his watch was correct, he bareky made it on time.

Avery arived at school early, like she usually did. She arrived only to find a shaken Michael by the school gates.

"Michael." Avery said his name.

He turned around confused and met her eyes.

"Good morning." He replied and cut some of their distance, getting closer to her. She replied a quiet greeting back.

"Why are you here so early?" She asked as she crossed the school gates. He followed behind, confused.

"Early?"

"We don't start classes in at least an hour." She stated back, obviously. She reached for his wrists and he felt almost fire run up his arm. " The time is off."

Michaels eyebrows went up. "Then what are you doing here, at least an hour early?" He asked.

"I like to come here and think." Something seamed off about her. Michael couldn't help but think it was because of what he almost did last night.
