Brantley
"Can I not see Liara?" I called out to my brother whom was already walking out the house.
"No, she's resting again." Bentley responded and hopped inside of my truck.
"Liar. She's up and moving. Liara did come over to the window. With nothing but a towel on!" I yelled hopping inside the truck. Turning towards my brother with a scowl upon my face. Getting angry he sent a mental image through our bond but it didn't ease my anger only fueled it.
Cranking up my truck my knuckles started to turn white because I was gripping the steering wheel so tight. Burning rubber, I never thought I could get this furious but I wanted Liara to myself. She was mine, Bentley needed to keep his hands off.
"You know I can hear you, right?" Bentley looked over at me, with a smirk on his face.
"What are you smirking about now?" I asked, trying to keep my eyes on the road but his face said something happened between them. Something serious.
"Oh nothing happened between us brother. But I can tell you this, Liara is going to have a hard time picking between us." Bentley smiled.
"I already know that. But I'm confident I'll be the one she chooses."
"Don't be so sure of that brother. I may have already showed her what it will be like with me." Bentley answered. I picked the wrong time to delve in his thoughts.
"What the hell?" Yelling at him. I pulled over to the side of the road. Taking the back way home from Liara's, it's a good thing I did. My body started to quiver and Bentley snapped his neck towards me.
"Brantley, calm the hell down. You're an idiot for letting this get to you already. If you can't handle the game, then don't play it with me. "
"It's not supposed to be a game!" I shouted.
About ripping the door off my truck I ran away from him and ripped my clothes off and shifted. Looking back at my brother, he stood with his arms crossed. A hard look on his face.
"I can't believe your acting like this! It's pathetic." He yelled behind me. Jumping back in the truck from my side I heard it roar to life and take off, burning rubber.
He was going to pay for that when I got back. I just got those tires. Fighting my self-control, I snapped my head back straight. I started to pick up my pace and ran around in the woods for a little bit.
Getting that image out of my head was harder than I thought. Liara sitting atop of the counter and her head hung to the side. She was nervous, but an exciting rush vibrated her pulse. Her reaction to him was more than I thought it would be. I didn't think it would cause her to react that way with him.
That cautious but yet sultry look in her eyes told me she was nervous. But she wanted more, it may have been a quick glance through my brother's eyes but it was there. I wanted her to myself.
Not only had my brother been with her in his dreams, she had been coming in mine as well. I've never stepped in it to find out until now. I shook my head and jumped in the lake in my wolf form. The water splashed around me, going in to the lake I felt myself quiver and shift back in to my human form. I swam around for a few moments then decided to float and think back to when I first noticed she was in my dreams and I felt myself shift in to my human form.
It had started with her in the woods one night looking around frightened. She didn't know where she was. It wasn't until the moonlight hit her nightgown, that the glowing night flies started to dance around her. I knew she was different.
They lit the path leading to me when I was near the lake where I like to go. The lake had healing powers or so they say. Liara looked around and stepped back when I heard her yell and start running towards me. I caught her and seen a wolf flash by and growl.
"Are you okay?" I asked, while rubbing her arms. Trying to calm her down and stop her shaking. Pulling away from me and looking around her, the fireflies were all over the lake. Her eyes lit up a green color and she smiled.
Whispering a sentence, I couldn't understand, the water lifted over the fireflies but didn't hurt them. Instead they were wrapped inside the water, kind of in a bubble. But once they got closer and started to fly around her again, the fire flies weren't inside a bubble but they were coated with the water. Water was dripping off them but it didn't hurt them. Kind of like frost, it'll coat the plant but it won't kill them.
Flying over and all around us she looked up at me and smiled. Her green jade eyes pierced my soul, the moment stopped in time for me. "What is your name?" I asked.
"Liara. Liara Huddleston, and you are?"
"Brantley Wolfe." I smiled. Liara playfully smiled back but she turned and looked at something behind us. Peeking over my shoulder she gulped and tried to slip away from me. I didn't want her to go.
Hearing water splash my way I faltered and went under the water. Coming back up I coughed and looked around me. No one was there. What the world is going on, never had something like that happened to me before. Rapidly swimming to shore I got out and looked around me again. I felt someone watching me. Shaking I quivered and phased back to my wolf and ran home.
