Chapter 9
I heard a growl and was pulled up and away from Bentley. My need for him grew and I whimpered. Blinking I looked around me and I noticed Brantley was in front of me and Bentley was against the wall shaking.
"What the hell are you thinking? You were going to try and mate with her!?" Brantley shouted at his brother.
Wait, what? He was going to try and mate with me without me saying it was okay. Still shaking the fog from my mind I looked at Bentley and said,
"Were you really going to try and mate with me?"
Bentley growled and shook his head, "I wouldn't ever hurt you. I wouldn't ever do that to you, I would always ask your permission first."
"It came natural, what happened between us. I had to control myself but Liara wanted to see what it took to control myself. Then it unraveled from there." Bentley purred.
"At first, yes but then you moved away from me. I thought- "I said, but got interrupted.
"Liara I'm sorry if I scared you. I honestly didn't mean too. This won't happen again. I'll let you be for a while. Brantley take care of her." Bentley told us before swiftly dropping out of my window. Going over to my window, I yelled for him to come back. I was so confused. I didn't understand.
But I did love every second of it. I craved more of him. Everything did feel natural and when I turned to Brantley his face was masked of any emotion and his arms were crossed.
"Let me ask you this. Do you still want my brother?"
Brantley talking to me like that made me feel like I had betrayed him somehow. Instead of talking to him I only nodded my head. Growling I looked up at him and seen him put his arms down by his side and ball them up in to a fist. Then Brantley took a small breath, sighing heavily.
"Let's go downstairs and get you something to eat. It'll help with your confusion." Brantley sighs. He opens the bedroom door and walks out before me, mumbling under his breath.
Trailing behind him but still holding on to hope that Bentley would be back soon. Coming in to the kitchen Brantley fixed me a bologna and cheese sandwich with mustard on each piece of bread. Pouring some chips on my plate as well. He pushed the plate in front of me and said, "Eat. The food will help with the confusion. I don't know what happened up there with in your bedroom with Bentley, but I know one thing-"
"Stop! Please, I still don't know what happened. I just felt nothing more. It was magical for me."
"Magical?" He asked me.
I nodded not saying anything but instead taking a bite of my sandwich. After a couple more bites and nothing said between us I got curious.
"Do you know what really happened upstairs?" I asked. I looked at my glass of drink then looking over at Brantley. He had sat down at the end of the bar then looked over at me. Not saying a word at first, Brantley stood up suddenly and went over to the window and looked out it.
"Let me start from the beginning from my point of view. You know the day we were in the office and you whispered to yourself."
"Well yeah that was my first day of school, how could I not remember almost a month ago?" I questioned him back.
"Yeah, yeah. Well it started before then, for us. Bentley and I, we dreamed of you coming here. Things are going to happen. Certain dreams of ours would link and there you would be."
Not interrupting him but I wanted to ask several questions but I kept listening to him talk.
"We didn't understand it at first but then as time passed Bentley started changing and his demeanor started to change towards you. Myself too, Bentley would mumble to himself but it was confusing to me. He would mostly be questioning himself and his wolf. We can sort of communicate with our wolves at times."
Turning around to look at me before starting to talk again he heard something and looked around. "I'll finish this talk when I find out who's here." He growled.
Before he left the room I felt something inside of me. I was being drawn to whoever was here. I heard a song being played.
"Do you hear that?" I asked. Turning around to look at me Brantley turned his head sideways and looked at me. We both listened for a moment before he answered. "No, I don't hear anything. Why do you?"
Nodding my head and pointing towards the upstairs. The call towards upstairs got stronger as we went through the house quietly as we could. Bentley told me to stay down stairs as we crept quietly near the steps.
"Why should I stay down here? This is my house too."
"Yes I do know but I want you safe." "Please stay here." Brantley asked me then quietly descended on the steps. Once upstairs I pointed to my room. I found the song was singing a song and began to whisper words to me. I tried to shake off the feeling but couldn't.
It felt like I was in a trance I was inside my body but I wasn't controlling my actions. I went upstairs and when Brantley asked me a question I couldn't answer him. I only moved past him and opened my door. I found a girl with platinum blonde hair and a moon stone colored necklace in her hands.
A growl erupted from Brantley and she looked away from the necklace and dropped it. Looking over at us at the doorway her colored eyes is what interested me the most. They were a violet color, a purple color not a normal human being's color.
This had to be a creepy dream. I still couldn't control my body and pinch myself to wake myself up. I was going to have a panic attack soon.
