It had started raining a while ago, I was glad I was wearing my leather jacket and not some hoodie like some people I've seen. Like guys this isn't a catwalk this is the apocalypse.

Thunder rattled from the clouds and lightening struck the sky. My mind wandered to Sol, she was never bothered by thunderstorms, just like me. I guess once you know something aint gonna hurt you, you're all right with it.

I kept walking for some more hours, why did Hershel have to live in the middle of nowhere? I shouldn't complain, he offered me hospitality when no one else did, and he didn't know who I was.

"Pretty sure if I made a wrong move Shane will have gunned me down." I said to myself.

"Thats just because he cares for the group." I said in a different voice, as if it wasnt me talking.

"Oh look at that I've resorted to talking to myself." I sighed and crossed my arms. The rain was dying off now, I was glad, it was already dark, I didn't need the rain impeding my vision anymore.

I heard the rustling of bushes next to me, I turned around and saw a walker with its eyes on me. I grabbed my knife and met it halfway, stabbing it. I continued on walking, I saw another 3 walkers within about a minute.

"Where are they all coming from?" I asked myself. I'd never seen these many walkers around the farm before. I dealt with the walkers and began to jog, the farm wasn't far now, just maybe a mile straight across the field.

I ducked through the fencing and ran through the short grass. There was smoke rising, I could see it. Something must be wrong.

I pushed myself into a full sprint, coming across more and more walkers by the second. I stopped for a minute to get my head straight, there were too many walkers for me to deal with, I only had a knife.

A walker was coming towards me, I got out my knife and killed it. I thought for a second, that time Rick told me he and Glenn made it through Atlanta because they covered themselves in guts.

I groaned and looked at the walker.

"Better than being you I guess." I plunged my knife into its torso, blood splattered all over me. I looked away and fished around in its body, painting blood on my clothes and wrapping intestines over my shoulders. When I was satisfied I stood back up and continued advancing towards the farm.

I walked amongst the walkers, they didn't even turn an eye at me. I breathed in deeply, the smell was revolting but I needed to push forward.

I came to the edge of the farm where the fence had been put up. Although it wasn't put up anymore. The walkers must've broke through it.

"What attracted you guys?" I thought to myself. The herd came over the hill, I saw the smoke was coming from the barn, but why? Were they ambushed?

Forgetting all about my disguise and safety I started running. Walkers behind me growled but I didn't care, I needed to know what was happening.

I sprinted through the field and easily jumped the gate, I heard the roar of engines and saw Daryl's motorbike pulling out.

"Hey! HEY!" I ran and waved my hands in the air, but it was no use. He was gone.

I'd just drawn more attention to myself. I got closer to the burning barn, but the walkers were more interested in something else.

Thats when I heard a neigh.

"Oh god, Sol." I clasped my hand over my mouth, how would I get her out?

"Hey! Over here you dumb fucks!" I yelled, gaining most of their attention. They surrounded me all around, I had to make this quick.

I stayed put until most of them were close to me, then I ran straight to the stables. I dodged every walker, tripping over my feet as I desperately tried to get to my horse.

I yanked the stable door open and slammed it shut again. I put the wooden bar across the brackets, that would slow the walkers down for a few minutes.

"Hey Sol hey." I breathed out. She calmed down the instant she heard my voice.

"Its okay, we're getting out. Remember, you and me together, always has been and always will be." I soothed her and I slipped her headcollar on.

She pawed at the ground, she wanted to get out, I could tell.

"Okay, okay." I led her out of the stable, she reared up as the walkers managed to break through the door.

"Easy girl! Lets go!" I opened the doors at the opposite end and led her out, I used the fence to get on and slung my leg over her back just as the walkers caught up to us.

One of them grabbed her tail, she didn't need me to tell her to get out of there, I clung onto her mane as she darted from the stable block. I slowed her down and turned her back towards the house, maybe someone was still there.

We cantered through the herd, they tried to grab us but we were too quick. I saw a figure moving out by the house, it wasn't a walker. I kicked Sol on as we made our way up there.

As we got closer I could see who it was.

"Andrea!" I shouted. She turned around and looked at me in disbelief.

I pulled Sol up next to her, the walkers closing in on us.

"Grab my hand I'll pull you up." I said and gave her my hand. Sol began prancing, she didn't want to hang around.

"Y-you're alive. How?" She asked still looking at me.

"No time! Grab my hand we need to go!" I yelled. She didn't need telling again. She grabbed my hand and jumped on Sol's back with help from the porch railing. I held onto her just so she wouldn't fall while Sol galloped out of there.

I looked back at the house one last time, the burning barn and being swarmed by the undead. When we were far enough away I slowed Sol to a walk seeing as she wasn't going to stop herself.

"How did this happen." Andrea asked as we were walking down a road. We walked on the grass so Sol's hooves wouldn't make a noise.

"I don't know, I escaped, somehow." I shrugged.

"We had a funeral for you, you know." She said and I laughed.

"You really underestimated me didn't you?" I asked and stopped Sol. I swung my leg over her neck and got off that way. I then grabbed Andrea's hand and helped her off.

"How come you were by yourself?"

"I went to help Daryl, but I guess he didnt need help. I got myself in shit anyway. I managed to get Carol safely in the house." She sighed. I nodded.

"Where are the others?"

"Honestly, I dont know. I think they all got separated. Maybe the highway? Thats where we were before the farm." She said. I nodded. Sol pawed the ground before dropping on her knees and laying down next to me.

"We should sleep. We can look for them in the morning." I said. Andrea nodded. She lay down on her back while I went over to Sol and lay my head on her neck.

"Gnight girlie." I whispered before falling asleep.
