PAIN ME Little Dragon
listen to I Know I'm a Wolf
A dragon, a dragon
Soaring aloneHis claws are sharpened
His eyes are so coldBlood stains his teeth
He will not denyHe's lived to kill
And taught to biteDeath taints his soul
Or so he's been toldA dragon, a dragon
Empty and coldScales like a shield
Broken and oldHe's been left behind
He's been abandoned by his kindFury fans his flames
Anger clouds his mindHe soars through the air
Only half aliveA deer, a deer
Is coming nearThe dragon's lair
Smoke flies through the airHe lifts his menacing head
His gold eyes - deadThe deer hears none
The dragon hears lungsIn and out
Badump badumpGoes the heart, filling with dread
Pumping red,
filled with bloodHe watched in silence
She gazed at scenery
Interested was he
Curiosity and sincerityHer coat was bright
Her nuzzle wetThe dragon was captivated
The deer was nextHe was alone
Nowhere to goShe traveled the world
In herds they roamedThe dragon rose,
prepared to goThe deer did twitch
She drowned in fearCasting off like mistle mist
Heartbeat harder
Legs pumping fartherThe dragon caught up
A roar did eruptFrom his old and cracked fangs
Saliva dripping like poison in veins
The dragon grabbed her by the throat
Instantly killing herA sad song note screamed
from her dried cracked lipsA last goodbye erupted
Like a mourned eclipseThe dragon dragged her to his bed
The deer was cradled by her headThe dragon feared being alone
He was born to kill and condoneThe death of natures beautiful kin
To rip and tear at her skinTo take the doe piece by piece
And gobble her up like boiled geeseBut the dragon left her corpse askew
Never touching her body or gooHe left her untainted
Minus the bloodA constant reminded
Of the monster he wasBlood stained his teeth
He would not denyBut his heart was empty
Like the deer’s cold, sad eyesThe dragon cuddled with her rotten flesh
He cried alone
He’s killer no lessA dragon a, dragon,
With a heavy heartSat alone
Wet in the darkThe doe, her blood
Stained his scalesBut all he desired
Was the touch of a heartA pure, beating one
Unlike his dark heart—
The pain that the dragon feels
Is something we can all relate too on a spiritual levelAre you the dragon or the doe?
