They say that only

Boys break hearts

With adoring smiles

And wicked smarts

A prince charming

Who loves and then leaves you

But I'm here to say

That's not all true . . .

A friend can break you

As easy as

bone

They can rip you apart

Until you're a mere reflection

Not your own

Friends will step on your heart

Until it turns blue

They're words cut like a knife

Emotions unleashed

that you never knew

But if you're like me

You sit there and take it

You'll paint on a smile

Lift lips, and well — fake it

If your are me, every word is like

acid

Poisoning you every once second

Slowly burning until you're in a

casket

Friends can give you heartbreak

As much as a man

In fact, they may be worse

Because enemies won't feign it

And pretend to know

They show their hate in bold colors

Like a warrior painted

Friends will

Lie

And watch you

Cry

And it seems that it all piles up

Like some sort of sick game

And you think they will change

But it stays the same

And your heart breaks

Again and again and again

But you let it happen

Because you hope

If you continue to hope

That little heart you have will

Soon cease to be

And you'll be a cracked soul

A ripped out artery

They say that friends are forever

But forever will always end

Because forever is not time

But a measurement of a trend

Real

Is just an opinion

Fake

Is an expression

To explain the broken ones loss

Something one can never gain

But only lose

A little cut

Or a pulsating bruise

So before you fall

For the trick of others

Remember I warned you

That people are cruel

And they only want your dust

That dust made of your heart and

Soul

That money that made you cool

That smile that stole their breathe

And the energy that does caress

People are selfish creatures

And we are all one of the same

Wanting love and pain all over

Again . . .

And yet we continue to ask for love

They

Will

Only

Steal

Your

Light

My

Dear
