It wasn't until nightfall that all The Avengers returned to the tower to discuss Loki's situation. You have become quite intrigued in the matter after hearing Thor's perception of his brother, unbiased or not, he would know Loki best.

"He will not receive the scepter back until he has proven his loyalty and won't go off destroying the world again," Steve says while crossing his arms.

"Of course," Thor replies.

"He'll be under twenty-four hour surveillance by one of us at all times, including JARVIS," Tony states.

"Done," Thor agrees.

"We'll hold regular training sessions for him for three hours everyday besides Friday," Natasha chimes in.

"And he's not allowed to leave the tower under any circumstances besides missions if--and that's a pretty big if--he actually manages not to screw this up," Clint says.

"Lastly, we have to make sure he doesn't do anything to make Bruce Hulk-out because, you know, he's an asshole," Tony adds, slapping his science bro on the back perhaps a little too hard.

"That's coming from a guy who does it on a regular basis because he thinks it's funny," Clint retorts.

"We're friends. It is funny," Tony defends himself.

"(Y/N), you've been awfully quiet for once. Anything you want to add?" Natasha questions, turning the room's attention to your lounging form spread across the window ledge.

"I have nothing to say," you answer. "I can't form an opinion or suggest ways to resolve a matter about someone I know nothing about."

"What are you talking about? We've told you everything about him," Steve says, showing clear confusion.

You sigh and swing your legs over so you're sitting against the window. "That's what you guys know. I've never met him, therefore an opinion cannot and will not be made. I understand his actions are horrendous, but I haven't gotten to know his character or reasoning."

You glance around and notice Thor's thankful expression. Everyone seems to be at a loss for words until the most unsuspecting person speaks up.

"Loki is dangerous, (Y/N). You can't assume the best of people all the time. The facts are that he is not to be trusted. We don't need to have a coffee with him to know he's evil," Bruce says.

"So you're going to do to him what you did to me?" you ask in a calm voice.

"What are you talking about?" Tony inquires.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about, and I won't let that happen, even after what Loki has done," you retort.

The room falls silent and Thor gives you a grateful nod in which you return.

"Well, if you're so keen on getting to know him, why don't you be the one to watch out for him?" Clint suggests and the others agree.

"Fine." You shrug and hop down from the ledge onto the shiny floor. "Show me to his cell, Thor."

"Lady (Y/N), I can surely watch my brother. You do not have to do this simply because you are being pressured," Thor says, walking to stand next to you.

"Dont worry, I want to. I think you should take this time on Earth to go visit Jane," you reply as he begins leading the way to the elevator.

"You are too kind. If you have any troubles with Loki, do not hesitate to call for me," he says.

You nod and step into the elevator where Thor then pulls out a key and inserts it into the hole at the bottom of the panel of buttons, turns it and pushes a button that then turns red. The doors close and you feel the gravity go downward for about three minutes until the lift stops on the lowest level underground.

The steel doors slide open to reveal a long metallic hallway with two doors on each side and one straight ahead. You walk by Thor's side until reaching the one in the middle and Thor takes out a card from the pocket of his Midgardian jeans and inserts it until a small light turns green.

Thor opens the door and carelessly waltzes in with you following closely behind with your head held up and open mind. On the way here, you made it sort of a mission to understand the God and attempt at being kind since the others don't want to make the effort.

"Thor," you hear a rich, monotone voice greet.

"Good news, brother-"

"Let us get one thing clear, I am not your brother and you are not mine," Loki sneers, still oblivious to your presence because of Thor's towering stature.

"Very well." Thor sighs before moving aside to introduce you.

"Who is this mortal and why have you brought her?" Loki asks rudely.

You smile. "I'm (Y/N) (L/N). I'm an Avenger and I'll be training and watching over you for a while," you say, reaching out to offer a hand shake that he backs away from.

Okay, no touching. Nice, you mentally note.

You take the time to look the infamous God of Mischief over with his long black hair framing his sickly pale yet flawless skin and eyes the color of emeralds. You take another note of his incredible stature that resembles Thor's to where you barely reach his chest as this could effect his training.

"What's up with the armor?" you question, gesturing to the shoulder-to-toe golden plates.

"Do not speak to me so casually. I am a God," Loki grits out.

"Loki! What did we talk about?" Thor scolds.

Loki sighs. "Respecting everyone."

"Good. Now you will behave while your training is happening and will be staying at the empty room upstairs where the other Avengers reside. If you mess up once, you are to return to your cell," Thor states seriously.

You're still stuck on the armor as the Gods go back and forth until concluding that Loki wears the armor because he feels vulnerable without it. It's the only explanation.

"(Y/N)," Thor says, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"I am going to go to Jane's. I am leaving Loki in your care for now," he says with a hint of nervousness at the thought of letting his brother out of his sight.

"Okay, go. Have fun with your girl, but I don't want any Gods or Goddesses running around just yet," you joke.

Thor laughs and hands you the card to Loki's cell incase he has to go back in while he's gone. You wave to him as he walks out of the room to the elevator as you and Loki stay behind to cover the ground rules.

"First off, you will not be pranking anyone in the tower. You are on probation until you pass the test at the end of your training to become an official Avenger.

"Second, we'll be spending everyday training in hand-to-hand combat with no armor. You can't always rely on your magic. You have to be ready to fight even if you're naked.

"Lastly, do not disturb me while I'm reading unless it's an emergency. Try your best not to annoy me whatsoever. I'm helping you and you are making up for your mistakes. We're in this together. I'm excited to see your magic one day, but we won't get into that for a couple of weeks," you finish kindly with a warm smile. "Any questions?"

Loki simply narrows his eyes as if trying to see into your soul. You let out a breath and turn to show him around the tower.

"Let's do this."
