"How long have you been an Avenger?" Loki finally utters after an hour of you giving him a tour of the lower parts of the tower. You're now heading to The Avengers floor.

"About four years, but we didn't call ourselves that until recently," you reply.

"You must not be that strong since I've never heard of you."

Ouch.

You don't respond to his completely unnecessary comment as you know he wants to get a reaction out of you. Instead, you give him another grin as the elevator doors open.

The two of you step off the platform and as soon as the doors close behind you, the rest of The Avengers appear in full uniforms, including Steve's shield, Clint's bow, Natasha's guns and Tony in his suit. Bruce just looks on, shaking his head.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" you ask, keeping your rage at bay.

"Nothing, just thinking about testing out the new suit since the other got damaged in a wormhole," Tony says with his mask up.

"Tony," you whisper vehemently, causing said man to take a step back. "When I close my eyes and reopen then, you all better either be out of uniform or have disappeared completely."

You close your eyelids and immediately hear scrambling across the floor like wild cats chasing after tuna. You open them and sigh when the room is cleared aside from you and Loki.

"I'm sorry about them," you apologize, craning your neck up at the slightly shocked looking man.

He masks his features and brushes it off seemingly without a care. You take that as a sign to continue the tour with the final floor.

"This is where The Avengers eat, sleep, relax and basically live. Tony has his own personal floor upstairs that he only has access to, but he's down here all the time," you say, turning and walking toward the corridor to the sleeping quarters.

You point to each of the doors that are widely spread out and who sleeps where if he needs to question any of the others. You go back to one at the front of the hall and push it open.

"This is one of our, of course, many extra rooms and now it's yours. If you need more clothes, need to order anything, or want information about something, ask JARVIS. Do you have any questions?"

Loki shakes his head and walks into his room, slamming the door shut behind him. Your smile falls and you make your way into the kitchen where all The Avengers creep out from their hiding place behind the counter.

"He's not going to do anything. This was your guys' idea after all," you point out.

"We didn't think you'd actually agree to babysitting him," Clint grumbles.

"Would anybody else like to?" you ask with an arched eyebrow.

They shake their heads and Natasha sits on the stool next to you. "We just need to make sure you're protected," she says.

"You do understand how my mutation works, right?"

"Yes, but you can still feel pain and we don't know how much of it can possibly kill you," Natasha says.

"He's nothing I can't handle. Have a little faith in him," you nearly plead.

Loki might have been an asshole to you, hell, he even backed away whenever you got more than a foot close to each other. He hasn't given you a reason not to trust him, so you'll treat him as apart of the team until he does. If he's willing to try and be a hero, you'll give him the chance.

You give them a look to drop the subject and look toward the ceiling. "JARVIS, please inform Loki to be ready for training at eight o'clock tomorrow morning."

"Right away, Miss (L/N)."

"Thanks, buddy."

"Sometimes I think you're too nice, (Y/N). You even treat a computer like your best friend," Clint says, digging into a bag of chips.

"JARVIS is my best friend."

Tony fakes a gasp and puts a hand over his chest. "And here I am, giving you a place to live, all the food you can eat, great sex and you have my assistant on the side?! Unbelievable."

"Tony, you're a peach and I love you, but you probably have more STDs than a hooker on a fast night," you reply, getting up to pat his cheek and proceed to your room for the night.

"Sir, the building is on fire," JARVIS says through the laughter.

"What? How?!" Tony shouts.

"Because you just got burned, sir."

The room explodes as the team doubles over at JARVIS' comment. Even Steve is joining in the fun.

"I don't remember programming you to sass me," Tony growls and stomps off to the lab.

"I better get him before he blows something up and the building really catches fire," Bruce says through a chuckle, hurrying after the billionaire.

As the night moves on, everyone heads into their own rooms to drift off to sleep besides the lonely God who could not get what The Avengers said out of his mind.
