"What?" you ask incredulously. "You want me to go with you to see your parents?"
"They are not my parents," Loki scoffs. "Thor is going as well and it is to follow up on everything that happened with the Frost Giants."
You shake your head and hop down from the counter. "No, I-I can't. I have training and... stuff."
"Why are you so nervous all of a sudden?"
"I just have really bad anxiety. Whenever I even go in public, I get nervous and paranoid. I can't meet the king and queen of Asgard. No way," you rush, obviously freaked out about the whole idea.
"Darling," Loki says softly, walking over to put his hands on your hips, "we'll be there for a few days and it will be painless, I promise. It's either you come or we leave each other for a month or two."
You sigh and rub your hands over your eyes. "I don't know. I'm already shaking."
"How is it that you are not like this during battles? You always have an aura of confidence," Loki wonders.
"It's different. Out there, I'm doing my thing and it's easy. Anxiety is a mental thing that's uncontrollable. I can't just tell it to start or stop happening," you mutter.
"Would it make you feel better if Thor brought Jane along? She has been there once before, but I think she would be happy to go again."
You bite your lip and slowly nod your head. You know there's no way you're going to get out of going and you don't want to be away from Loki that long since you know time runs slower in Asgard.
"Thank you. There was no way I could get out of this and I knew I could not do it without you," he confesses.
"Maybe it won't be so bad."

Three hours later, you've packed what you think you'll need for the trip although Loki said the Asgardian hand-maids would supply adequate attire to wear. You wanted to be prepared if anything happened, meaning your bag is filled with your suit, two pairs of pajamas, two pairs of casual clothes and lots and lots of weapons.
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
You carry the suitcase out of your room just in time to see Loki exit his as well in his regular Asgardian armor and looking freshly showered.
"Allow me," he says, reaching out to take the suitcase and his eyes widen a fraction. "What do you have in here?"
You chuckle nervously. "Just a small arsenal."
"Arsenal," Loki hisses. "We are going to Asgard, not war."
"But a good soldier always comes prepared," you reply.
"I would assure you that nothing will happen, but anything can, so I'm going to let this go," he says in defeat as the two of you start walking onto the balcony where the rest of The Avengers are waiting plus Jane.
You see Jane has a suitcase as well and shifts her gaze between you and Loki then to Thor as if she's wondering how Loki can be such a gentleman and carry your items when Thor didn't even bother trying.
"It will be only a few days in Asgard, but here it will be about a month, so we will see you then," Thor says with Mjolnir in his right hand.
"Be good, all of you. I don't want to have any more problems around this place," Pepper's voice interrupts the departure as she walks onto the platform still in her formal business attire from her trip.
"You will not have to worry. It will just be a meeting and dinner then sorting out the problems," Thor assures her.
You spend five minutes saying your goodbyes to the team and step away for Thor to transport the four of you to Asgard through the Bifrost. It's like a quick flash of white light and your head spins for a few seconds like momentary whiplash.
"Mortals," Loki mutters as you and Jane try to concentrate your eyesight and not have your brains turn to mush.
"Shut up," you growl, hitting him on the chest once you stabilize yourself.
"Make me," he challenges.
"Oh, I'll make you all right!" you shout, about to tackle Loki until you notice your surroundings.
The sky is like an entire galaxy of pink and blue clouds mixed together with thousands of stars scattering about and the scenery is breathtaking.
"It's better than the pictures," you say.
"Another Midgardian?" you hear a voice question.
"It was important that she come along, Heimdall," Thor says.
"Very well," he says and gestures down the bridge. "You know the way and you have some people waiting for your arrival."
"Thank you," Thor says, beginning to lead the way with Jane by his side who is also looking around the place probably because she didn't get to soak it in the first time.
"Loki," Heimdall says with clear distaste before you can follow Thor and Jane.
"Heimdall, old friend," Loki replies with a smirk. "No hard feeling, right? We are still pals."
"Do not cause any trouble because we will know."
You narrow your eyes and tug Loki's sleeve for him to follow you down the bridge. Loki told you everything that went down while he was here last, but you still don't like anyone looking at him with such hatred. You won't voice it because you understand their reasoning, but you don't like it.
"I'm still nervous and knowing how much resentment everyone holds against you makes me even more nervous," you say.
"Do not worry about them. Let's just get through this and get back to Earth," Loki replies as the four of you get to the end of the bridge where four individuals are waiting.
A/N: Please forgive any wrong information about Asgard in the future. I don't remember exactly everything and the customs so bear with me on this.
