"Alexander," Madison, the man in question's boyfriend as of two months, addressed him whilst putting on his coat and hat, "I'm going out for a walk. I'll be back in an hour or so."

"Alright," Alexander smiled, giving his love a kiss on the cheek, "Be safe, please."

"Of course," James smiled back, kissing the taller man on the cheek, as well, then leaving.

It was early afternoon in downtown Chicago, during the Wintertime, and it was almost Christmas, which meant it was very crowded as James wove his way through the Windy City's busy sidewalks.

He was about to head into the Water Tower Place to find his beloved a Christmas gift when a familiar voice behind him called out his name, sending a slight chill down his spine.

"J-James...!" Aaron Burr ran up to him, panting like mad, "I-I'm so glad I found you!"

"Burr?" Madison gasped, "How did you get here?"

"Never mind that!" he replied, "I need to speak to Hamilton! It's urgent!"

James hesitated for a moment. First of all, how did he get here? The only possible way for Aaron to be in front of him right now would be that AARF brought him here. Second, knowing now that Burr was, in fact, the cause of his dearest's early demise as it is written throughout history books, why in God's name would he bring Burr straight to Hamilton?

Then, Aaron gave James a pleading look, and he gave in to the man's request.

When Madison walked into the founding fathers' apartment with Aaron Burr, all fell silent.

"Madison," Alexander stood up from the sofa slowly, yet shakily, "... Why is he here?"

"I-I d-don't know..." James mumbled under his breath, starting to lose control over himself.

"So we meet again, Alexander Hamilton," Burr smirked, drawing his pistol, and causing all of them to silently panic.

"A-Aaron, what are you doing?" Hamilton stammered.

"Doing what AARF has asked of me," he replied plainly, "They said it's my destiny."

So they've brainwashed him... Madison thought to himself, then, suddenly catching a glimpse of the future, cried out, and ran in front of Hamilton, just in time to take the bullet Burr had just fired at Hamilton himself. He collapsed to the ground, horribly wounded.

"JAMES!" Alexander cried out, then, in a blinded fury, punched a shocked Aaron Burr in the face, knocking him unconscious. He then rushed to James' side.

Meanwhile, Franklin was on the phone with the 911 operator, Adams was trying to calm a infuriated Jefferson down, and Washington was in a state of shock.

"J-James..." Alexander breathed, tears streaming down his cheeks, gently cradling his bloodied boyfriend in his arms, "C-Can you h-here me?"

"A-Alex..." James panted, his cheeks pallor and his shirt soaked in blood, his breathing, labored, "I-I love you... I... I'm sorry...." James smiled weakly, then closed his eyes. He fell limp in Alexander's arms.

"J-James...?" Alex's eyes widened in fear and disbelief as he gently shook Madison, "W-Wake up!"

James didn't respond.

"... J-James..." Alexander choked out a sob as he checked for his beloved's pulse, only to find none.

"JAMES!!!"
