"Good morning, James," Alexander Hamilton kissed his boyfriend on the forehead as he greeted him for the day, "... James?"

James wasn't responding; only emitting odd sounds and mumbling to himself. Alexander sighed. It had been a while since his beloved had one of his episodes, and Alexander had hoped he had finally seen the last of James' fits.

"James..." he whined, then tried to hush his boyfriend's mumbles, but to no avail. Alexander sighed a sigh of defeat and proceeded to seat himself next to his dearest, James, wrapping his arm around the smaller man's shoulders in a comforting manner as he trembled.

"A-Alexander..." James Madison finally choked out quietly, grabbing the attention of the taller man next to him, as James had finally uttered something he understood.

"Yes, what is it, my dearest, James?" Alexander turned to face the small, frail man, traces of concern dancing in his ocean blue eyes.

"I....... I...... We are never going home, Alex...." the smallest founding father whimpered, his skin a sickly pallor.

"How do you know that?" Alexander inquired.

"I just... d-do..." Madison replied, "... My... Visions told me...."

"Hey," Alexander smiled reassuringly at his boyfriend, squeezing his shoulder gently, "The future can change, Madison. It all depends on the decisions we make and the actions we carry out. Plus, even if we are stuck in this time until our deaths, at least we shall have each other."

"Yes," Madison smiled softly back, "At least we will shall have each other."
