So after we went to her safe place, we walk to her apartment. She braces me that there would be no welcome that I might be used to or a nice greeting or even the words hello. So we walk down the street and all I see are apartments that look very poor and worn out. She told me she lives on this street, but I don't really mind. She looks down and I just see one tear stream down her face. Then she says let's go in.

So her apartment looks kinda small but then I see her parents nod their heads at her as they are focused only on their youngest son, probably not thinking about their oldest son. So we walk to her room. It looks small and cozy. It so small that it only fits a bed, dresser, and a little desk with a shelf over it. We sat on her bed and spoke for a little while about our lives and maybe a little too much about Jayden.

She said that Jayden is kind of popular, but weird. He has a weird laugh and smile, and when he runs around his hair looks like a lions mane. She kind of liked him to but she didn't speak those exact words. So we came out of her room to get a drink and the house phone starts to ring. Her mom gets it. On the phone she looks very surprised and starts to tear up a bit and says it's for Megan. So I think about Jayden and space out a bit. So she takes to sodas and pulls me to her room and slams the door.

She sits me down and starts pacing around the tiny space in the room. She says she doesn't know what to do and how, when, and if she could do something. "What's going on? " I said just starting to worry. She replied "MY BROTHER CALLED AND WANTS ME TO BE AT HIS WEDDING". "How old is he Megan", "he's 28 and his name is Nick, okay Stella, now help me make a decision". So I asked her if she missed her brother and if she wanted to see him again, and she agreed. So I told her she should go. My only friend that already trusts me with her decisions would be gone for about a month, but this is family we are talking about. If I had the chance to see my dad I would.
