I try to help her up but the branch she's at is too far. I almost reached her hand, but the she mumbled some words that I understood perfectly. "Don't. You're going to fall too if you try to help me. Let me fall...it's okay Stella, I promise." I felt I tear roll down my cheek and felt it go cold on my neck. I didn't want to let her go. "Megan, I need you...I don't care if I die with you." Then she replied "then let me make it easier for you." Right after she said that she let go of the branch. All I could so was scream in this place where no one could hear me. I curled up in a ball and cried for who knows how long. Then I decided to go down to the beach to let jer rest in peace, because that is what she would have wanted. There was a cave. I took her body and put it in the empty cave and put shells and pebbles around her. After I push a boulder over the cave opening, and bless it with my tears.
Then I go back to the house. I lay on a wall, and cry, and cry until I notice it's dark outside. Suddenly I get a call...I dont even bother looking at the name because I figure its my mother or Megan's mom calling again for the third time today. I just pick up the phone and say the word "hello?" Because I need to talk to someone. Then I hear a voice say "guess who's gonna get married!."
