"Kylie! It's time to wake up."

A groan emitted from the pile of sheets on the small bed. "Kylie, get up or we're leaving without you."

"It's not like you would take me anywhere anyways. You can't stand my existence." The woman was taken aback, but kept quiet. "Get up now. This house better be clean before we get back. Understood?"

The girl peers from under the sheets and moved the hair out of her face. "Yes, Susan." She replied. Susan glared before slamming the bedroom door and stomping down the steps.

Kylie sighed and leaned against her hand, looking at the picture on her side table. It was of her and her father, Sirius Black. She ran her finger over it and smiled softly. "I miss you, Dad." She whispered before getting up from the bed.

As she peered out the window, she saw the family leave the driveway, causing her to smile. She turned around and sighed before putting her music on and throwing her hair into a bun. As she looked through her closet, she huffed. "What to wear. What to wear."

Eventually, she found something to wear and went to do her hair and makeup. After she was done and thought she looked presentable, she walked down the stairs and towards the closet. Once she opened it, she was met by her packed trunk and cat.

"Hello, Whiskers. Ready to go home?" She whispered. The cat meowed delightfully as Kylie picked her and her trunk up from the floor. As Kylie stepped into the fireplace, she sighed and grabbed a handful of floo powder. "Hogwarts!"

As soon as the smoke cleared from Kylie's view, she stepped out and found herself in the Gryffindor common room. She smiled and walked up to the girls dormitories. "Go on, Whiskers." She says and lets the cat in the little drawer she had made her home for the school year.

Kylie laughed, before leaving and going down into the hall. Once she reached the Great Hall, she saw her two best friends sitting together. "Kevin! Bree!"

The two students turned their heads and smiled. "Kylie, thought you went home?" Kevin asks as he stood up and hugged her. "I did. It was quite boring actually." She replied and sat beside him. "Where's Whiskers?" Bree asks. "Resting."

The three laugh. "Sounds like her." Kevin says. Kylie smiled before looking around. "Where is everyone?" She asks. "Everyone actually left this year. Me and Kevin are the only ones here, now it's just -- us." Bree replied. "Weird." Kylie muttered.

"Did you hear that we're getting a new DADA teacher?" Kevin asks. "Really?" Kylie asks. "Yeah, don't remember his name though. But it did start with an 'R'." He says, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. The two girls giggled.

"Well, let's hope he's better than the others." Kylie whispered. The two nodded in agreement.

"Hey, we should go to Hogsmeade, I mean, Christmas is tomorrow." Bree says. The two glance at each other before smiling. "Absolutely. I need Butterbeer immediately." Kylie says and stands up. Kevin followed. "I need more books."

"When will you ever leave that shop alone?" Bree asks. "Hey, don't diss the books." He says seriously, pointing a finger at Bree playfully. She grabbed it and pinched it, causing him to yelp.

"Blimey, Bree! You've got sharp nails." He says and cradled his finger. Bree threw her hands up. "I don't have nails." She says. Kevin rolled his eyes. "I don't have nails." He mimics.
